Access Needs offers your Temporary Bridge to Greater and Safer Access

July 5th 2011

The Portadown based specialists in road safety and access products, Access Needs, has expanded its already impressive range to include a temporary pedestrian bridge to further help contractors accommodate the public during streetworks in busy shopping and residential areas.
The 2m long bridge comes complete with safety hand rails and is ideal for providing shoppers, office workers and others with convenient access over larger excavations such as in town centre regeneration schemes, pipe and cable laying projects.
The pedestrian bridge, together with a new illuminated kerb platform ramp fitted with barrier rails, complements the company’s growing product range which also includes trench covers, fence pins, road plates and traffic calming strips to help contractors overcome road safety problems created during streetworks. “We’ve been supplying portable ramps and other access products since 2004 and have consistently improved and expanded our product range to give customers the necessary choices from the best product available on the market,” says Access Needs’ Kenny Moffett. “These latest additions should further help contractors maintain pedestrian and shopper flows around busy and restricted sites, as well as assisting them in meeting their statutory obligation, and resolving any health and safety issues that may arise.” Road Safety products in the Access Needs range are all made from composite high strength materials without compromising on quality and can be easily transported, set up or stored away. Although a lot lighter than steel, the products can take plenty of punishment, while their robust design easily meet industry standards.
The company is ideally placed to serve all of Northern Ireland and the Border Counties from its Co Armagh base, while local agents are on hand to serve customers in the rest of Ireland. “We aim to serve each of our clients according to their needs, supplying or adapting to provide the most appropriate access product available. We offer customers advice, product demonstrations and trials, and will strive to make any necessary adaptations, so that clients are presented with an access solution that satisfies their individual requirements.”
