Introducing the Complete Range of MVHR Options from Titon
Titon’s highly energy efficient heat recovery ventilation units now include six robust models; the HRV1 Q Plus, HRV1.5 Q Plus, HRV1.75 Q Plus, HRV2 Q Plus, HRV2.75 Q Plus and the HRV3 Q Plus. Designed to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, the range offers specifiers and housebuilders flexibility and reliability when considering how best to ventilate and protect the building and the long term well-being of end users.
To make specification simple, all Titon whole house ventilation units (with heat recovery) have been independently tested by the BRE and are EST Best Practice compliant. The range is also compatible with System 4, to help comply with Part F of the Building Regulations 2010. The combination of very low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger is specifically designed to enhance SAP performance via Appendix Q. All models are fitted with incredibly quiet and very energy efficient fans.
As standard, all models in the range are fitted with an ‘intelligent’ controller. The controller features a sophisticated frost protection system and summer mode. A SUMMERboost option is also available in all units, (except the HRV1 Q Plus) to help reduce susceptibility to the overheating of dwellings in the summer months. Optional extras include an intelligent 100% summer bypass, a switch activated option which turns off, or reduces supply, when windows or trickle vents are opened.
All HRV Q Plus units are designed to be installer friendly with features including a quick fix mounting bracket, easy to adjust fan speeds, plus a fully adjustable boost overrun timer, to be used with nonlatching (momentary) switches to prevent the units being accidently left in boost mode. Each model can be fitted with either 125mm or 150mm round ducts, without the need for adaptors.
Primarily for use in dwellings with three wet rooms or fewer, the ultra-compact HRV1 Q Plus is one of the most efficient whole house ventilation (with heat recovery) units of its size in the UK. Measuring just 600mm x 430mm x 285mm its size belies its performance. Designed with the architect, developer and contractor in mind, its small size makes it easier to fit where space is of a premium, for example in flats and one or two bedroom housing developments. The HRV1.5 Q Plus and the HRV1.75 Q Plus offer more controllable and flexible options in small to medium sized dwellings.
The HRV2 Q Plus is now available with improved features and in three model options, two of which include summer bypass. Measuring 715mm x 490mm x 415mm the units are also lightweight for easy handling. Another recent addition to the range, the HRV2.75 Q Plus, is more compact than similarly performing units. Coupled with very low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger – up to 90% – they are also incredibly efficient for their size.
Perfect for larger sized properties, the new HRV3 Q Plus is designed for use in dwellings with between three and seven wet rooms. Like the other units in the HRV Q Plus range, the HRV3 Q Plus is designed for loft spaces and is much more compact than similarly performing units. Coupled with very low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger the HRV3 Q Plus is also incredibly energy efficient for its size – and will help dwellings achieve high energy efficiency ratings.
Jim Blinman, Technical Sales Manager, Titon said: “There are six models in the HRV Q Plus range which means there is a unit for a huge variety of house sizes from small apartments to large family homes. All units are designed and manufactured by Titon in the UK and as you would expect, all HRV Q Plus models perform to Energy Savings Trust (EST) Best Practice levels and many are among the most efficient units for their size available. All units have been designed to provide flexible options for specifiers, contractors and end users.”
The units feature full frost protection and are demand control ventilation ready. Titon also supplies a full range of ducting and ancillaries.
