Over the last seventy years, Wykamol Group has grown to become the leading company specialising in the development, manufacture and supply of basement conversion and new-build waterproofing, timber preservation, damp proofing products, drainage and sewage solutions and structural repair products. Based in Burnley, Lancashire, Wykamol supplies products throughout the UK and via agents located around the world. Clients include architects, builders, restoration contractors, local authorities and private home owners.

The company has vast experience in the building and preservation industries, specialising in the challenges of rising, penetrating and condensation damp problems, dry rot, woodworm and structural repairs.

Damp Proofing

A large range of damp proof course (DPC) products is available for use in property restoration and new builds. All chemical DPC systems are suitable for use in accordance with BS6576 and all pressure injection DPC systems are approved by the BBA.

Products available include:

• Lectros System repels rising moisture molecules down walls into the ground using a small and safe electrical charge. This system is ideal for difficult building conditions.
• Ultracure silicone emulsion cream for injection into brickwork.
• Siliconate K forms a continuous chemical damp proof course.
• Microtech DPC fluid to control rising damp in masonry above ground level.
• Injection Mortar a chemical damp-proof course in walls above ground level.
• Waterproofers and additives include Brunopel IWP, Wykamol Integral Waterproofer No2 and Brunolene PS.
• Tanking products for basements and walls below ground level include Aquastop, Hydradry and Hydraplug, Wykamol fillet seal, renovating plaster and SBR latex.

Timber Treatment

A range of remedial wood preservatives are available alongside low hazard micro emulsions and masonry biocides which offer a lifetime solution against dry and wet rot, mould, algae, moss, lichens and woodworm.

Industrial Timber Treatment

A range of industrial timber pre-treatments offer long term durability whilst causing minimal environmental impact for softwood construction timbers used for carcassing, framing and joinery. Wykamol is an appointed distributor of Dr Wolman low pressure double vacuum products that are specifically designed for use Classes 1,2 and 3 BS EN 335:1992 and is fully compliant with British and European standards and NHBC/Zurich building insurance schemes.

Basement Conversions

Wykamol has a range of products to control water penetration in basement and cellar conversions including walls, floor and ceiling membranes, plugs and tapes.

Drainage Solutions

There is a range of below ground drainage solutions including sumps, battery back-ups, alarms, pumps, channels and drainage outlets for the effective control and disposal of water movement. The systems can be fitted at the initial building stage or to existing buildings.

Sewage Systems

Powerflush, Aquaflush, Drainflo and Magna systems are available for the removal of waste water or sewage when gravity drainage is not an option and are suitable for applications including toilets, sinks, dishwashers and washing machines.

Anti Condensation

Condensation can cause damp and mould growth in buildings and this is due to high humidity and a lack of natural ventilation. Wykamol stocks a large range of energy efficient, low maintenance fans that operate automatically. Approved contactors offer a complete diagnosis and installation service. Other products available include mould removal kits and anti condensation paint.

Surface Treatments

A range of surface treatments are offered such as damp proofing and water, salt, mould and algae repellents, for the protection of internal and external masonry, stonework, wood, leather canvas, tiles, concrete and cement renders. Brands include Enviroseal, Technoseal, Epoxy EP40 and Microtech Biocide.
