Products
Geomembranes and Geotextiles
A full range of geosynthetic products are available including: clay liners, un-reinforced and reinforced liners for the containment of liquid within lakes, ponds, ditches, reservoirs and channels, underground proofing and toxic barriers. The range includes Flexline, Tuffline and Hardline liners, and attenuation tanks for flood water storage, vegetative channel linings, soakaways and swales. Geotextiles with varying strength reinforcements are available for different ground conditions and traffic volumes, geogrids for roads, carparks, subsoil reinforcement and retaining walls.
Erosion Control and Habitat Creation
There is a range of environmentally friendly products for surface protection or bank stability which create vegetated systems for streams and lakes, which also serves to enhance biodiversity. Products available include biodegradable or synthetic, seeded or unseeded, instant protection or long-term vegetation, erosion control blankets, coir rolls, brushwood faggots, soil containment systems, reed beds, floating islands, rock rolls and Nicospan bank stabilisation.
Root Barriers
Widely used in vulnerable habitats, the environmental root barriers are permeable or impermeable dependent on their use. RootX is used for permeable situations and is made up of two layers of geotextile that sandwich a copper sheet and releases an inert chemical trace which roots and shoots are adverse to. RootX will not allow penetration whilst plants are growing including strong root growth. The impermeable alternative is DGW700 an LDPE coated polypropylene geomembrane used for the containment of Japanese knotweed and minimises the amount of contaminated soil that needs to be disposed of.
Gas Barriers
Waterlines has a range of reinforced aluminium barriers and un-reinforced gas retardant membranes that create a barrier against methane, CO2, radon, hydrogen sulphide and hydrocarbon. Finesse gasflow is a geotextile filter used for active and passive venting systems. Proofex is an aluminium film for methane resistance and Sytech gas membrane with aluminium foil offers very low gas transmission. A range of ventilation systems with all fixtures and fittings is also available.
Concrete Revetments and retaining Walls
Concrete revetments are highly durable and effective against erosion from wave action and river flows. Using a range of interlocking concrete blocks in assorted shapes and sizes, the revetments are simple to install and can be used in the harshest of environments. The range includes Armorflex, Armorlock, Armorturf, Pipeflex and Porcupine. Water-Lines Ltd is the authorised agent for Armortec Erosion Control Systems.
Reservoirs
Waterlines has a range of products and specialist services for use by the water industry these include baffle curtains, reservoir roofing, expansion joints, floating covers and tank lining.
Waterlines prides itself on the extensive knowledge and understanding of small and large scale bio-engineering and erosion control systems. A team of highly skilled staff are available to support clients with design, product and installation requirements, technical support and a comprehensive aftercare service.
