Volarus is owned by Paul Revill, who has a passion for architectural metalwork and contemporary design. The company employs a team of expert craftsmen who have the capability to create designs which emulate the spirit and status of each individual client.
Volarus offers a professional service in conjunction with its own specialist glass manufacturing company which can provide designs etched/carved directly into the glass panels and supplied flat, contoured, kiln fired or semi 3D. In addition to these services, Volarus can offer LED lighting within the range, bringing light and interest to the staircases and balustrades. With over 30 years of experience, the company’s extensive portfolio includes commissions for the private sector, public sector, prestige retail and personal clients.

Balustrades and Handrails
Volarus has introduced a new and exclusive collection of designer handrail and balustrade systems which can be made to exact specification. The balustrade posts are created using a selection of quality materials and finishes such as stainless steel and powder-coated steel. The glass panels can be etched or carved to complement any design. The systems include:
- Structural Balustrades: Structural balustrades are designed for interior galleries and exterior balconies or terraces and can reflect personal taste, character and interests. The trademark Hyperion system has been created to fill a gap in the market for uninterrupted views and safety. The system is based on a 21.5mm toughened and laminated safety glass and offers the ultimate safety where children are present. This system can be used internally and externally and is suitable for patios, ponds, BBQ areas, swimming pools and balconies. LED lighting can also be incorporated.
- Bamboo Balustrade: The Arcana bamboo baluster post and handrail emulates nature within a modern design. The unique design lends itself perfectly to external applications such as Japanese themed gardens, ponds, water features, pools, hot tubs and decking areas. Arcana can be manufactured in two grades of stainless steel and powder coated if required.
- Curved Balustrade: The Zuber range of curved balustrade is ideal for complementing modern and contemporary buildings. Zuber is available in various finish options including bright mirror polished stainless steel, satin brushed or powder coated. The system is available with bespoke designed glass panels and specially designed glass clamps.
- Custom Balustrade: Kyphi is an innovatively designed balustrade system which features angled baluster posts and is available in various finishes to suit specific requirements.
- Steel Twist Balustrade: Ocean Twist is inspired by traditional forged wrought iron work and is ideal for traditional and contemporary designs. Apart from the aesthetic qualities, the process of twisting the tube improves the rigidity and deflection capabilities over round tube of the same wall thickness and weight of the material. Manufactured in satin or bright polished 316 grade stainless steel, this balustrade is ideal for coastal locations.
- Glass Designs: To complement the balustrade, Volarus has joined forces with a talented glass artist who can etch or carve any picture onto the panels. Design options are endless and the only limit is imagination. Exclusive moulded designs can be created using kiln-fired methods as well as screen printing.
- LED Lighting: LED lighting creates an ambience within homes and businesses and can be incorporated into the glass balustrade. LED is fully waterproof and impact resistant and the flexible lighting strip offers a long lifespan and low energy consumption. Colour options include warm white, blue, green, amber, red, yellow-green and multi-colour changing.
Grand Design Staircases

Arcana Tiki Garden Lighting
Arcana Tiki is an exclusive solar lighting collection which has been created using the innovative Arcana design. Arcana lighting is a free-to-run, environmentally friendly light source for homes and gardens which charges in daylight and illuminates at night with a warm glow. The lights change colour from red, to blue to green via standard solar lights or LEDs with a dusk-to-dawn feature and key-fob control. The range comprises of freestanding and wall-mounted options in various finishes including high grade 304 polished satin stainless steel, 316 grade stainless steel and passivated and polyester powder-coated in Verdi Gris textured finish or natural bamboo colour.
