An additional service offered by Veneered Doors is the machining of doors for hinges, locks and other door hardware. The company has created a software package for the pricing and processing of the doors and every quotation is delivered to the client via email in PDF format. At the stage of ordering, detailed machining schedules are automatically produced and checked for compliance with fire requirements. Samples of all the veneers are available to assist with the decision making process.
Natural Veneers
A veneer refers to thin slices of wood which are glued onto a core piece to produce a flat panel. Veneered Doors offers a wide range of exotic and standard veneers in numerous colours, grains and finishes. The skilled craftsmen carry out various matching techniques including book matching, slip matching, random matching, mismatching and quarter matching. They can also incorporate contrasting timber inlays and undertake marquetry and parquetry work to create stunning visual effects. Once the doors have been veneered a number of final finishes can be applied such as liming, tinting, dying, staining, lacquering and even painting over the veneer to emphasise the natural grain of the selected species.
Internal Veneered Doors
The internal veneered doors are available in Ash, Cherry, Ebony, Figured Anegre, Maple, Oak, Olive Tree, Santos Rosewood, Walnut and Zebrano in five solid panel options and 3 part glazed options. Key features and specifications of the doors include:

External Veneered Doors
The external veneered door ranges are manufactured to order to bespoke sizes and are available in any commercially available timber species. The door incorporates a specialist multi-layer engineered door core which is clad in constructional veneer to create an overall thickness of 58mm. The door is finished with a waterborne lacquer to provide outstanding weathering properties and is supplied with a matching timber frame or frame and screen system. All products are factory machined for ironmongery including security hinges, multi-point locking systems and weather seals. A full site survey and installation service is included within the price quoted.
Door Frames
The internal door frames are manufactured as standard from high density MDF, edge veneered and over veneered in the same species to match the face of the door. The external frames are produced using solid timber. As standard, standard section door stops and architraves are included.

- Stainless steel Victorian numerals 76mm high in brass, chrome or satin chrome
- Hooded floor mounted door stops and large rubber plate mounted door stops in chrome or satin chrome
- Dorgard door wedges suitable for legally holding open fire doors and recommended for commercial applications
- 180 degree door viewers supplied with a shutter in brass, chrome or satin chrome
