Urban Front was established in 2003 and is a specialist in the design and manufacture of bespoke contemporary doors to clients around the world. From the workshop and showroom based in Buckinghamshire, doors are manufactured using superior quality materials coupled with excellent design and customer service. Every door is exclusive to Urban Front and is entirely made in Britain. The range includes front doors and garage doors, door handles and accessories.

Urban Front prides itself on being the only UK manufacturer that makes steel reinforced hand crafted solid wood and pivot doors up to 2400mm high and 1200mm wide. The design team works closely with the client throughout the design and manufacturing process to ensure complete satisfaction. Every external door is registered with the UK Intellectual Property Office, making each door distinctive in design and completely bespoke.

Design and Services

All doors are designed by Nabil and Elizabeth Assaf and both have many years of experience creating unique and stunning doors which provide a lovely feature to any property. The company utilises the latest machinery; but much of the door fabrication is carried by hand and checked and double checked to ensure a superior finish. Experienced craftsmen and trainee apprentices work upon a design-led philosophy using CAD drawings and a hands-on approach to exceed clients’ expectations.

Products

The doors are manufactured with a steel reinforced warp resistant core that offers an insulation range of between 1.1 and 0.566 W/m2K on the door leaf. In addition, Urban Front uses high security locks, security keys, superior grade stainless steel fittings and 3D concealed and pivot hinges.

Front Doors

There are currently thirteen door designs which are custom made up to 1200 x 2400mm in the E70 pivot range and up to 1040 x 2100mm in the E70 and E90 range. The doors can be manufactured in a range of timbers including Iroko, Western Red Cedar, European Oak, American Walnut and Wenge.

Features include:

• Configuration variations of single or double doors, side panels, sidelites, sidepanels and sidelites, storey lites and overpanels
• Security glass can be incorporated into the door in various design options in clear, sandblasted, number etched and pattern etched finishes
• The 26mm security double glazing features laminated and toughened planitex glass which is argon filled and offers a 1.1 U-Value
• The E70 door is 70mm thick and incorporates a 39mm paraffin insulation with a door leaf insulation value of 1.1W/m2K and a hardwood laminated frame section of 115 x 58mm
• The E90 door is 90mm thick and incorporates a 59mm ventilated paraffin and PU insulation designed to prevent glass condensation, the door leaf produces an insulation value of 0.566W/m2K and includes a hardwood laminated frame section of 125 x 58mm
• All doors include a weatherseal on all four parts of the frame and cill
• The doors are compliant with all European directives on Safety and Security
• The doors are delivered factory finished with a 300 micron of clear UV protection lacquer that offers up to five years protection
• Designs include Porto, Parma, Sintra, Oslo, Terano, Modena, Milano, Rondo, Sorrento, Ferrara and Manhattan
• Guaranteed for two years

Garage Doors

A new addition to the product range is the garage door collection which can match most of the current front door designs for a fully coordinated look. The doors are installed as side hung double doors on a 3d concealed hinge system. The garage doors are manufactured and constructed in the same way as the E70 front doors with an insulated steel reinforced core. Urban Front is also introducing a range of matching retractable counterweight automated garage doors.

Door Handles

The range of door handles from Urban Front is available as a complete package with a door. The handles are manufactured from AlSl 316L stainless steel, a hard, elastic and resistant type of steel. There are currently 17 style options to choose from.

Every doorset is made-to-measure from a client’s own specification. Detailed guidance on measuring is available on the website. Once an order has been placed a CAD drawing will be sent out for approval. The doorsets can be delivered throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Middle East, Caribbean, Europe and many other countries throughout the world.
