The business was originally established in 1965 and has grown from strength to strength, with private and trade customers located throughout the UK.

Turf

Utilising the latest technological innovations, Turfland has the capability to grow turf of the highest quality within the 2000 acre site. The key features of the turf includes weed free, shade and draught tolerant, low maintenance, superior durability, resistant to disease and a dense green sward. The website has a turf calculator which will work out how much turf is required for a particular area. There are three turf options to select from:

Lawna Turf

Lawna turf is a low maintenance turf which offers a fast establishment and superior wear tolerance. The varieties of grass incorporated within the turf are low growing, offer fast shoot recovery, winter colour and shade tolerance, making this an ideal choice for families and busy lifestyles.

Sportsman Turf

The Sportsman turf is an ideal choice for people who want a low maintenance, hardwearing lawn that is frequently used by children and pets. This highly resilient turf offers a rapid establishment, excellent resistance to disease and draught and incorporates a high quality rye grass that is tolerant to low mowing.

Ecomix Turf

Ecomix turf is a budget option that is suited for use as general landscaping, amenity areas and hardwearing lawns. The grass seed mix will provide an attractive looking, durable lawn which is ideal for everyday use.

Pre Turf Top Soil

Pre turf topsoil is an ideal foundation for Turfland turf. One bulk bag of topsoil will cover a 30 square metre area at a depth of 1 inch. Turfland organic topsoil is graded as soil grade 1 and is highly fertile.

Bark Mulch

Mulch is a protective cover placed over soil to retain moisture, reduce erosion, suppress weed growth and provide nutrients as they decay. Mulch placed in gardens and landscapes mimics leaf cover on forest floors. Each bag is adequate to cover 20 square metres.

Lawn Mowers

Turfland also supplies a range of Bosch lawn mowers and trimmers. The range includes:

• Bosch Art 23 Accutrim cordless grass trimmer
• Bosch Art 23 Easytrim high efficiency grass trimmer
• Bosch Rotak 34 mower with 10 height positions and grass combs for edge cutting
• Bosch Rotak 320 mower featuring a 32cm cutting width, 3 cutting heights, lightweight and fold down handles

Shrubs and Hedging

Turfland offers a range of shrubs and evergreen hedging plants. Hedging is available in Privet, Cupressocyparis Leylandii, Laurel, Griselinia Littoralis, Olearia Hastii and Box varieties in packs of ten plants. Shrubs are also available in packs of ten plants which comprise of assorted varieties in groups including sensory garden, acid soil loving, birds, bees and butterflies, shady border and classic border.
