Trellis Direct Company Profile

Trellis Direct designs, manufactures and supplies top quality joinery made trellis, screening and close boarded panels. Products are manufactured in the UK, using sustainable FSC timber. The flush faced panels feature a unique half-lap, jointed design which sets them apart from other manufacturers’ products, offering superior strength and durability as well as a distinctive appearance.

Products are available via the online store at highly competitive prices and delivered quickly and efficiently across the UK. The trellis is manufactured from treated softwood timber in fixed standard dimensions, but the jointed construction makes it simple to cut panels down without affecting strength or stability. A choice of natural or painted finishes gives 25 colour options, in panel styles to suit contemporary or traditional settings. Complementary gates, posts and finials are available as well as all necessary hardware.

The product range includes:

Square and Diamond Trellis

The trellis panels are available in square or diamond patterns. The diamond pattern is a more traditional design, ideal for older properties and the square design is a more contemporary style for both modern and traditional properties. The jointed, flush faced panels offer superior strength and durability and are constructed using sturdy 22mm x 25mm battens which are individually half-lap jointed in a mortise and tenon frame, where they intersect and are secured using stainless steel fixings. The trellis panels are available in five sizes: 1855 x 672mm, 1855 x 1282mm, 1855 x 1891mm, 1245mm x 1891 and 635mm x 1891 and natural finish or painted in a choice of 24 colours.

Garden Screening

The garden screening panels offer great strength and a contemporary look with extra privacy but still allow air to pass through. They are available in horizontal or vertical slat style, natural or painted finish and with a 12mm or 25mm gap between the battens. The sturdy 25mm x 17mm battens are individually jointed to 22mm x 25mm uprights and secured with stainless steel fixings to ensure great strength and durability. Garden screening is ideal for creating separate areas within a garden, to screen unsightly tanks and bins or to offer privacy from surrounding properties. The panels are available in three size options: 1855 x 650mm, 1855 x 1260mm and 1855 x 1870mm.

Slatted Screening

These contemporary slatted screening panels are another attractive and effective solution to fencing or screening. With wider 40mm boards and smaller gaps between slats (15mm) compared to the Garden Screening panels, these are designed to provide a higher level of privacy. Available in one panel size of 1853 x 600mm (h), each panel features slightly extended vertical battens at the bottom of the panel, so that they can be combined to create a taller fence of either 1200 or 1800mm high. Panels are therefore sold in packs of 1, 2 & 3, with a reduction in each panel’s cost when purchasing packs of 2 or 3. These panels are also soon to be available with an even smaller gap size of 7mm for enhanced privacy.

Other Products

To complement the range of fence panels, trellis and gates, Trellis Direct offers a range of additional products, which include:

  • Treated Softwood Posts: Planed and sanded in two section sizes and finished with a proprietary paint finish. The posts are available in 70mm x 70mm or 89mm x 89mm section sizes and four lengths up to 3000mm.
  • Ball Finial and Post Caps: A perfect decorative and protective finish for fence posts and gate posts, the ball finial and post caps are available for 70mm section posts, in natural or painted finish.
