Tradstocks Company Profile

Tradstocks was established in 1992 and specialises in the supply of natural stone products for use within construction and landscaping industries. The company is primarily a manufacturer of new stone products, but also sources and supplies a wide range of high quality reclaimed or recycled natural stone materials. Tradstocks is a leading supplier of stone products throughout Scotland and further afield.

Tradstocks has a team of experienced and skilled stonemasons who work within the company’s two large production facilities. The facilities house a comprehensive range of modern stone cutting machinery and well-equipped banker sheds for hand producing stone features and components. There is a specialist stone quarrying division located in Fife where the classic pale-buff Cullalo Sandstone is quarried and widely used in the Forth Estuary area.

Services

Tradstocks offers a range of services including in-house design to assist in the development and build of any project. The team utilises the latest in CAD software to model components and create production sheets and templates; this ensures all the components are cut to exact specification and ready for construction on site. For some projects, clients require the services of the skilled stonemasons to install or build the stone products and it is recommended that all natural stone products are installed by a qualified stonemason. Tradstocks operates a fleet of purpose-built delivery vehicles that can provide a nationwide service.

Products

The majority of stone supplied is sourced locally and by using modern equipment and traditional techniques, the skilled stonemasons can cut, shape and dress the stone. The stone can be finished in various styles including polished for a smooth finish, pitched, bull or rockface which offers a rough face with the sides, top and bed sawn flat or a tooled finish to give a traditional textured look. Tradstocks can provide standard and bespoke stone features for numerous building requirements that will enhance and add quality to any project. Stone types include Scottish Whin, Dumfries Red, Minetrain Grey, Pink-Buff, Cullalo, Light Buff, Coarse Buff, Veined Buff, Moray Sandstone, Perthshire and many more. The product range includes:

Walling Stone

Our ready-to-build walling stones are available in a wide range of stone types and finishes to create clean-line modern Ashlar walls through to traditional Drystone walls. Other options include random and coursed styles.

The team at Tradstocks has the experience and knowledge to offer a comprehensive and reliable matching service.

Reclaimed Products

There is also a modest collection of reclaimed stone features that are generally sourced from buildings which are condemned. The stock items change on a daily basis, but include a wide range of products such as slabs, architectural features, balustrade, troughs, urns and much more.

Tradstocks is committed to protecting the environment and endeavours to utilise environmentally friendly methods throughout every stage of quarrying, design, manufacture and installation. The company prides itself on offering a wide range of products that offer superior visual appeal and superb value for money. The friendly and approachable sales team welcomes enquiries from trade and domestic clients and can provide comprehensive advice and information across the whole product range.
