Acoustic Products
For acoustics, Thermal Economics has developed the Isorubber and Isosonic product ranges which provide the components for five proprietary Robust Details for floors; EFC’s 4, 9, 10, 12 and 14. EFC’s 10 and 14 have three Sustainable Homes Credits qualification. The key component in these systems is Isorubber mats. Isorubber is an extremely tough, durable and high density (600kg/m3) material which undergoes no discernible deflection under design load and will not be affected by any long-term acoustic performance deterioration. The acoustic insulation products are suitable for new-build and conversion floors with pre-cast concrete planks, in-situ concrete, beam and block and timber components.
Thermal Products
The thermal Alreflex Platinum product range comprises graphite injected polystyrene boards which are laminated with a very low emissive, Alreflex foil. The graphite and the foil work together to enhance and improve thermal performance, whilst the foil also works as a vapour and water barrier. The boards are a cost-effective alternative to polyurethane and phenolic foam systems and incorporate eco-friendly benefits of zero global warming and ozone depletion potential. Every product’s components is HFC and CFC free. The boards are available in various forms for use in cavity wall, ground floor, roof rafter, dry-lining, timber frame and metal frame cladding applications.
