Sun-X has more than 40 years experience in reducing and controlling heat loss and glare from the sun with its range of films and blinds. The company both supplies and installs specialist blinds and films to protect and reduce or eradicate glare from the sun and ensure privacy in the workplace, in public areas where safety, privacy and protection are required, and in the home.
The company’s products all conforms to safety standards in Britain and Europe. In particular the company’s work meets the BS6206 standard for safety against terrorist bomb blasts.

Safety film:
- Sun-X Clear Safety Films
Ideal for installation on existing glass, the film can be supplied clear or to help reduce heat and sunlight can be offered with a tint at various levels to suit requirements.
- Sun-X Safety Films
The film is ideal for areas at risk to vandalism and potential terrorist attacks. The film keeps glass together in the instance of breakage so no shards can detach and cause harm. The film is easy to install on existing glass and is ideal for the home, can be used on glass sliding doors and is also suitable for use in banks, schools, retail areas and important buildings.
Solar Window Film:
The company’s range of solar window films can block out 50 per cent of the sun’s heat and light. Supplied in a neutral colour, the film reduces light for areas where this is necessary.
Privacy Window Film:
Suitable for use on existing glass, the low-cost film can be used for decorative use as well as practical. The product is opaque and offers enhanced safety thanks to its ability to hold glass together in the event of breakage ensuring no glass fragments are scattered.
Commercial/Manifestation Films:
Ideal for incorporating company logos, the commercial manifestation films comply with all the necessary regulations. Manifestation can be used to create decorative windows with a practical solution for privacy and safety.
Office blinds:
The Sun-X range of office blinds can be tailor-made to suit all requirements and sizes. The blinds are made in the company’s own workshop and help reduce heat as well as protecting from the sun’s glare and fading. The range can be supplied with manual or electrical operation.
Conservation solutions:
The company is able to offer a range ideal for use in historic buildings to help protect delicate and precious artefacts from sun damage. The special film does not alter the colour of transmitted light into a room but it can reduce heat and glare from the sun. The product can also be used externally and is ideal for roof light glass.
Traditional blinds:
Sun-X roller blinds are made to order for any size of home including royal palaces, stately homes and large houses throughout the world. The decorative blinds reduce UV levels with special filters to help eradicate fading caused by the sun’s rays. The range comes in three types, cap and rack; check action; and flange end blinds. The heavy-duty range can be made to any size or shape window offering privacy as well as protection.
Films or blinds are installed by the company’s own trained personnel with minimum disruption. The product range carries a warranty of five years and, depending on location and other important factors such as cleaning and exposure, is expected to last between 8 to 10 years.
