Stiebel Eltron Company Profile
Stiebel Eltron was established in 1924 and is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality systems for central heating, hot water, air conditioning and renewable technologies. The innovative systems have been carefully designed with the environment in mind and will heat and cool homes whilst conserving energy and reducing household bills. The products are aimed at developers, architects and domestic, private and public sectors.
Over the past 80 years, the company has developed a range of products and services that are of an exceptional quality; these include green technologies for space and water heating, ventilation and electricity generation. The systems are tailored to each individual project and all components are appropriate to the specific situation; this ensures maximum performance and a return on the investment.
Services
Stiebel Eltron offers two advisory services for clients. The Eco Design Service is aimed at architects and developers. The key aim of the service is to focus on achieving excellent BREEAM ratings, which is widely recognised as the standard for best practice in sustainable design. For property owners from domestic, private and public sectors, the company offers a free one-stop-shop advice service related to installing renewable energy products including applying for ‘green’ grants, legislation compliance and the provision of free surveys and reports.
The product range includes:
Hot Water Heating
The Stiebel Eltron hot water product range will aid clients in reducing domestic heating costs. Oil and gas systems are becoming increasingly more expensive and electric power provides a cost-effective, convenient and eco-friendly solution. The systems are all designed to run efficiently to provide effective heating of water. Products include:
- Instantaneous Water Heaters: These energy efficient systems provide continuous hot water for baths and showers, offering maximum convenience using hydraulic or electronic control. Remote controls are available to control the systems from a distance.
- Small Instantaneous Water Heaters: These mini heaters are suitable for small or visitors washrooms and offer the convenience of a decentralised water supply where the water does not have to travel through long supply lines, making them ideal for hand washing.
- Water Boilers: With a capacity of 5 litres, the water boilers are ideal for homes, offices and community centre kitchens.
- Wall Mounted Cylinders: Water boilers for capacities ranging from 30 to 150 litres which incorporate highly efficient thermal insulation and reliable technology.
- Small Water Heaters: These compact heaters are extremely powerful and provide an unobtrusive source of hot water in small quantities for sinks and showers. Options include pressurised and non-pressurised, open and sealed heaters in 5-15 litre options. Taps and accessories are also available.
- Freestanding Cylinder Heaters: These large cylinders supply whole houses with hot water and can be used in off-peak tariffs for more energy efficiency. The cylinders are corrosion resistant and will operate maintenance-free for many years and can be used with central heating systems, solar heating systems and heat pumps.
Renewables
Highly efficient renewable systems are available for year-round heating and ventilation of homes. The systems include heat pumps, ventilation systems that offer heat recovery and solar heating systems that utilise energy from the environment. Products include:
- Heat Pumps: The pump draws energy from the ground, groundwater or air and uses it to power central heating and hot water systems whilst saving up to 50% in energy costs.
- Ventilation: The systems provide healthy and clean air and retain up to 90% of energy conventionally lost by airing through open windows, by returning it to the heating circuit.
- Solar: Solar heating systems can provide up to 100% of demand for domestic hot water heating in the summer and even in cooler seasons provide around 30% of the required energy. Products include solar collectors, controllers, compact installations and DHW cylinders.
- Photovoltaic Modules: Decentralised solar power generation systems that ensure optimum yields by capturing solar rays and converting them into electrical energy to be exported to the grid or used on-site.
Central Heating
Electrical central heating is growing in popularity due to the high prices of gas and oil. Electrical energy can be used anywhere without any major installation costs. The majority of modern electric heating systems can also be combined with a ventilation system to keep homes cool in the summer months. Heating options include:
- Storage heaters
- Natural stone heaters
- Area heating systems
- Direct heating
- Bathroom radiators
Stiebel Eltron is committed to providing a wide range of domestic heating solutions which are energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The product range is continuously being researched and developed to satisfy the ever-changing requirements and demands of customers and strict European regulations. The experienced and knowledgeable sales teams are available to provide comprehensive advice and information across the whole product range and welcome enquiries from both domestic and commercial clients.
