Sternfenster Trade Sales has been a family owned and operated business for more than 35 years and specialises in the manufacture, supply and installation of PVCu and aluminium windows, doors and conservatories. Super Fortress and Fortress 70 Windows
The Super Fortress and Fortress 70 internally beaded window ranges embrace modern styles, high security and superior engineering standards. The fully contoured outer frame, sash and glazing will enhance the appearance of any property and has low sightline grey weather seals and multi-chambered construction to provide an excellent barrier against the British weather, improving heat and noise insulation. The window is B rated, includes multi-point shootbolt locking, key locking handles and can include Secured by Design as an optional extra. Colours available include white, oak on tan, rosewood on brown, oak on white, rosewood on white, cream on white or any painted RAL colour. The Fortress 70 range is also available with a cream grained laminate on the external surface.
Tilt and Turn Windows
Tilt and turn windows will make the best use of space for large apertures, aid cleaning as they can be opened inwards and provide excellent background ventilation. This type of window is ideal for creating an extra egress point for upper floors, allowing for a clear and easy escape route in the event of a fire. Features include high security internal beading, contoured or chamfered profiles, wrap around multi point gearing, triple action hinge, double weather seals and B rated glazing.
Vertical Sliding Windows
Vertical sliding windows offer a more traditional and authentic look for older properties. The appearance can be enhanced with optional decorative horns to reflect the original look of the property. The PVCu sliding windows will not warp or twist, do not require painting and will provide many years of easy use. Colours available include white, oak on tan, rosewood on brown or painted in any RAL colour.
Aluminium Frames
The aluminium windows and doors have been developed to reduce heat loss with the use of a thermally broken frame with a polymide bridge. The aluminium sections provide strength and durability, elegant sightlines and sculptured frame and sash sections. Features include multipoint shootbolt locking, key locking handles, high performance weather stripping and concealed stainless steel hinges. A wide range of colours and wood effects are available.
Residential Doors
The residential PVCu door range has been developed to cope with the British weather and includes slender sightlines, steel reinforcing, high security hinges and a full range of moulded panel designs that are suitable for any application. The door locks are approved by the ABI and benefit from multipoint locks with hook bolts, roller cambs and a deadbolt. Extra hinge protection bolts can be added to further increase security to Secured by Design standards. The doors are available in high security, stable, fire escape, decorative and composite options in a huge range of colours and wood effect finishes.
French Doors
French Doors can be used as a single door opening or fully opened when required. The high security doors include ABI approved multipoint locks with hook bolts, roller cambs and a deadbolt, lever handles, contoured or chamfered profile and a huge range of colours and wood finishes.
Patio 70mm Inline Swish Doors
The PVC patio doors are designed to glide smoothly and include a four point locking system. The doors are available in three and four part design to accommodate larger openings. Features include high security internal beading, double weather seals, B rated glazing and adjustable tandem rollers with anti-lift blocks. A wide range of colour and finish options are available.
Bi-Fold Doors

Glass
Sternfenster has invested heavily in modern and innovative manufacturing equipment and has the capability to supply a wide range of glass units for windows and conservatories. An on-site toughening plant and two fully automated glass lines allows for the provision of specialist conservatory roof glasses, normal double glazed units and the award winning range of energy efficient units that are compliant with Window Energy Rating guidelines. Options include A and B rated units, Planitherm softcoat glasses, Pilkington patterned glasses, solar control glass and self-cleaning glass. Ranges include single toughened glass, stains, bevels and leaded units, Georgian bars and duplex stick-on Georgian bars.
Painted and Shaped Frames
The Super Fortress and Fortress range is available in various shapes including angled and arched frames. As well as standard window profiles, Sternfenster can also supply arched top vertical sliders.
