Simplylabs appreciates that every client has a different list of demands. The team utilises the benefits of Computer Aided Draughting Systems to create innovative designs for new and refurbishment laboratory projects. All products are made-to-order using the finest quality materials and assembly systems which are easy to fit and designed for longevity. The specialist fitters have worked on numerous projects for clients throughout the UK and will ensure that the client is satisfied with the completed project.
Furniture Systems
There are four standard systems available within the furniture range which accommodates the needs of schools, universities, colleges and businesses. The basic systems are Pedestal, Cantilever, A Frame and C Frame construction. Unit options available include single and double cupboard and drawer units, drawer units, cupboard units, sink cupboards, open tray units, tray units with doors, special units (shelved, lockable and basket options), corner units and low height units.
- Pedestal System: The Pedestal System features fixed units with a worktop which is fitted directly onto the base units. The storage units are floor-mounted on a plinth and all voids are panelled.
- Cantilever System: The Cantilever System features worktops which are supported on tubular steel frames with a fully flexible space underneath which can be left open or used in conjunction with movable or mobile units. Optional removable service panelling can also be incorporated into the design.
- A Frame System: The A Frame System is a supported system which features rigid tubular steel A-frame supports with span rails that create a rigid and sturdy structure. The A Frame system can be used as a modular option which offers off the floor storage and worktops in a wide range of materials.
- C Frame System: The C Frame System is a self-supporting system which is made of "C" shaped frames and under-slung storage units. Full height units on castors are available as an alternative option, as well as overbench storage. A comprehensive range of worktops are available.
Fume Cupboards and Extraction
Laboratories often require expertly designed fume extract systems. Simplylabs has the capability to install options such as bench-mounted point-of-work extract hoods, a full range of fume cupboards for schools and industries, hoods over special equipment and extraction systems which service the whole laboratory.
- Standard Fume Cupboard: Standard fume cupboards have been developed for all industrial and educational applications and they are compliant with BS 7258. Four standard widths are available, as well as bespoke widths. Each unit includes a comprehensive control and alarm panel, a high and low level air by-pass facility and a fail-safe sash and counterweight system. The double-skin chamber of the units is made from zinc-coated mild steel as standard and lined with solid laminate panels. Alternative linings and specialist "Water-Wash" and "HF" units are available. The units are mounted on metal leg frames which can accommodate floor-standing chemical storage units. These lockable units can be used for acids and flammable liquids and can be vented through the fume cupboard extraction system. Standard service outlets are water and gas outlets, Vulcathene drip cup and twin 13amp switched socket.
- Graduate Fume Cupboard: The Graduate fume cupboard is suitable for educational laboratories and is compliant with CLEAPSE recommendations. Two standard widths (1000mm and 1200mm) are available and the units feature a control and alarm panel, high and low level air by-pass facility and a fail-safe sash and counterweight system. The outer skin is made of zinc-coated mild steel and is polyester powder-coated in white and the sides of the cabinet can be made using 5mm toughened glass. Standard services included with the units are a cold water outlet, natural gas outlet, drip cup type drain and 13amp twin switched socket.
- Fume Extract Plant: The ensure safety, all fume cupboards must be connected to a fume extract system. A fan and well-designed duct route are vital to guarantee a balanced installation. The fume extract plant is compliant with British Standards and a full site survey will be carried out before installation. The system features a centrifugal type fan, rigid PVC tube and bends heat-welded at the joints and the discharge terminates in a high velocity outlet.
Laboratory Sinks
Simplylabs offers a comprehensive selection of sinks to suit a broad range of requirements. Options include sit-on sinks and drainers, inset sinks and drainers, inset sinks, cast epoxy sinks, inset sinks with double drainers, Belfast sinks, inset hand wash basins, inset sink bowls and under-slung sinks. Also available is a range of service fittings including water taps, safety showers, electrical outlets, gas taps and school gas taps.
