Sheridan Celebrate New Site Expansion Opening
September has seen the completion of the new 75 000 sq.ft site expansion programme. £2 million has been invested into this project with £750K being spent solely on state of the art, fully automated machinery. This new site has created a working space that will help reduce lead-times, boost productivity and improve storage and dispatch facilities. The new expansion will cope with the soaring demand for their expanding portfolio and from this will expect an increased turnover to around £20 million in 2009.
Further Commitment To Environment
Sheridan has an established reputation for quality with a commitment to the environment and social accountability; accredited to BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 and holding FSC Chain of Custody status. Along with the site expansion, improvements have been made to the canteen, showroom, offices, grounds and car parking, creating a better working environment for Sheridan employees.
Further developments have been put in place to monitor our carbon footprint. New energy efficient lighting, heating and production lines have been installed in the factory, along with a new waste recycling program.
Advances In Technology
Due to advances in laser system technology, Sheridan has introduced the new digital templating system, which is now fully operational. The new state of the art technology will reduce time between template and installation, whilst removing MDF templating altogether. By introducing the new digital templating system will reduce our carbon emissions as unnecessary transportation of MDF templates up and down the UK will be cut to a minimum.
