Established in the UK in 1987, Safetell has grown to become the country's premier designer, manufacturer, installer and service provider of security solutions. Systems are primarily used by banks, building societies, offices, reception areas, police stations, retail outlets and government organisations. Products include fixed and reactive security screens, reception area counters, safes, audio monitoring systems and bullet proof glazing.
Safetell products offer security and protection for staff against abusive and violent behaviour and safeguard money and other items from theft. Security Screens
A wide range of security screens are available for a variety of applications, risk levels and sizes which can be tailored to precise requirements. Security screens offer varied levels of protection from ballistic or physical attack and features offer moving or fixed screens, open plan, partly or fully enclosed screens and reactive or protective closure methods. The range of screens available includes:
- Fast rising security screens offer the ultimate protection against armed robbery. Concealed from view, the screens fire into position within half a second of activation, providing secure, bullet proof protection and no physical, visual or audio communication to the public area.
- Moving security screens can be set at any position required onto existing counter tops, from completely open to fully closed. The screens can be reactively closed within one second and can be controlled individually or as a group.
- Eye2Eye security screens and counters are ballistic and physical attack resistant and offer a high level of protection. Eye2Eye is DDA compliant, with an adjustable height counter that can be operated by customers and staff and allows staff to serve standing customers and wheelchair users from one point.
- The Flexiglaze fixed glazed security system conforms to BS 5357 and offers permanent protection from physical attack. The system is fixed at ceiling level down to the floor or counter top. Two options are available, horizontal framed with a vertical transaction gap or fully framed with a horizontal transaction gap. Designs can feature security doors, bulk transfer equipment, scoops, trays and various speech transfer options.
- Bullet resistant glazing is available for protection from armed robbery or attack. A complete design, project management and installation service is available. Also available are ballistic resistant doors, counterwork, cash scoops and speech transfer systems.
Cash Management Safes and Tills
Safetell provides a wide variety of money management equipment ranging from simple flip top tills that allow for instant cashier floats, to complex and sophisticated, safe-rated teller assist units. The units allow tellers with money in open areas, to serve customers securely by removing access to large amounts of money. The range includes:
- Rollercash a time-delayed multi sector cash dispenser for secure money handling by single or multiple users, and has a banknote capacity of 4,000.
- Rollercash Trio is a counter top money handling system and security device that allows for secure cash handling in open areas and has a banknote capacity of 6,000.
- Bidi Safe is time-delayed, multi-cassette, stand-alone cash dispenser unit used when occasional access to money is required in public areas.
- Cash Recycler is a precise and reliable automated banknote deposit, authentication, dispensing and storage machine that reduces the likelihood of mistakes and allows for a faster customer flow.
- Flip top tills are key controlled with a push button opening and allows immediate access to money. Features include a slam shut lid, mechanical key over-ride and alarm if left open beyond factory set time.
Lone Worker Protection
Staffsafe is an audio monitoring protection system for staff working alone. The system operates via audio technology and fixed line telephony, providing exceptional quality, dual direction speech between the premises and the Safetell call centre. The system can offer man-down alarms and audio verification of intruder alarms.

There is a range of accessories to complement the security screens which includes; CCTV, Cameras, blinds, counterwork, speech transfer systems, induction loops, trays, bulk transfer units and DDA assistance products.
Service and Maintenance
A service division provides planned maintenance schemes and emergency call-outs for Safetell and third party products throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. SafeCall is a 24 hour help desk that provides technical information and support. A team of Safetell fully security checked service technicians are on call seven days a week for on-site visits throughout the UK. Servicing and repairs are available for the following products:
