Services
- Screening Trees: Used for a variety of purposes, privacy, noise reduction and unpleasant views, Ruskins offer a tailor made solution with trees wide or narrow, minimal or fast growth, up to 12 metres high. The quotation will contain options and diagrams, a site visit will also ensure that any recommendations fit in and compliment surrounding areas.
- Supply and Planting: A large selection of trees, shrubs and hedges are available from stock or from European growers. Most shrubs and plants can be sourced to suit a customer's requirement, screening plants up to 15 metres tall, ready grown hedges for instant results and trees pre-pleached or pleached on site. A planting only service is available for customers who have purchased their own plants. Digital imagery is available to see results before purchasing and planting. Ruskins are experts in planting in restricted access and difficult areas.
- Transplanting: With specialist machinery and workforce the transplantation of trees up to 20cm trunk diameter, hedges and shrubs is a straightforward process. Offering around a 90% saving against the purchase of new plants, year-round transplanting and most sizes can be moved including protected trees (subject to approval).
- Landscaping: For large or small projects the company offers soft or hard landscaping. Restoration of an area or a full landscape by either working alongside the company's tree planting and transplanting service or as a single project. Ruskins' team of professional landscapers are BALI approved contractors ensuring a superb quality finish. A maintenance service can also be provided to suit a particular requirement, either through a contract or one-off basis for new and established landscapes, grounds and estates.
- Air Spade Services: Firing a stream of air at 1500mph to displace soil, the air spade is used for excavations where ordinary digging could cause damage to root systems and other services. Root systems are exposed for inspection, air spades can also be used to remove spoil that has been tipped on tree root plates.
- Play Trees: Ruskins supply public play areas with natural wood products from dead or living trees. Trees are available to suit individual specification, a whole tree or trunk, large branches and living trees, adding a natural and aesthetically pleasing look to any play area. This is a zero-carbon option, and areas are compensated when any tree is removed.
- Tree Surgery and Consultancy: The sister company, Ruskins Tree Surgery Ltd offers clients within the M25 and Home Counties tree surgery, site clearance and stump grinding. Working and trained to NPTC standards, using newly developed specialist equipment providing a service to private and commercial customers, developers and other organisations. Tree surveys are undertaken by qualified consultants to BS5837:2005 standards and arboricultural advice.
