Round Wood Trading Company Profile
Round Wood Trading is based in Mayfield, East Sussex, where it operates alongside its sister company Round Wood of Mayfield. It offers a range of "Home & Garden Features" including garden statues, cast iron benches, urns, planters, oak wine barrels and water butts.
Statues
The majority of garden statues are hand cast in iron with a rust or antique white finish. The range of statues varies from giant animals to life-size portraits. A selection of statues developed in more contemporary mediums is also offered, including mega easter island heads and terracotta warriors.
Garden urns and jumbo planters
Urns and planters include both traditional and contemporary models, complimenting all garden designs. Urns are typically cast in iron with some planters also available in this hardwearing medium that weathers beautifully.
The most popular planters they currently offer, however, are produced from the extremely environmentally friendly fibreclay. Models include faux lead chelsea boxes, troughs and cylinders. Many are available as giant and large planters.
Garden benches
A selection of cast iron benches is available, with either a black matt, forest green or antique white finish. These will weather over time for a classic patina. A range of styles are offered, including art nouveau and gothic. Ideal for high-end and large scale, developments.
Lamp posts
Standing between 1.95m and 4.2m, the company offers a large selection of victorian style cast iron lamp posts. Supplied with the lamp and glass, a choice of black, green or white is available.
Cast iron fireplaces
Victorian style fireplace inserts come in black and silver, or simply silver, with a range of accessories including firebaskets and inserts. Inserts come with all items required for the appropriate fireplace.
Staddle Stones
A range of unique Staddle/Settle stones cast in granite. Staddle stones are offered in straight, tapered or drum designs and feature a steel locating pin. Ideal for Oak Framed Garages and Buildings.
Oak Barrels/Water Butts
The company imports large quantities of decommissioned oak wine barrels every year from France. Coopered to the highest standard, these barrels are hand crafted using oak from sources close to the Vineyards, where they were used for Burgundy.
Barrels can be used as attractive ornaments/tables, but are often converted to water butts – offering a stand out alternative to the typical plastic water butt. Round Wood offer a conversion service that includes drilling holes for a down pipe and a supplied tap.
Other Features
Other products include wood stoves, chimineas and architectural features such as finials, fountains and reclaimed oak wagon wheels.
All items can be delivered nationwide with free delivery on selected orders over £1000. Trade customers can benefit from a special area on the company’s website with a login and a password.
