Promat UK is a major global consultant, supplier and manufacturer of passive fire protection and high temperature insulation systems. Established in 1958, the company provides products manufactured in accordance with the applicable construction and safety regulations.
Fire Protection Products
Promat Supalux: This is a tough, light-weight flame resistant building board, constructed of calcium silicate and strengthened by various fibres and fillers. (Provides a maximum of 240 minutes fire protection)
Promat Masterboard: Manufactured from the same materials as the Supalux, this is a certified Class 0 building board for internal and semi-exposed installation. (Provides a maximum fire protection time of 30 minutes)
Promat Durasteel: A combination of fibre reinforced cement and steel sheets which are used to cover both sides; Promat Durasteel maintains its resistance properties after exposure to fire. The product is used in partitioning, ducting, and door and ceiling applications.
Promat Durawall: Designed as a barrier system, this product is constructed of a non combustible rock wool core and steel panelling outer layer. It is ideal for partition walls that are needed to act as firewalls or compartmental walls.
Promat TD Board: A light green board manufactured from inert mineral fibre and ideal for composite structures and fibre doors. Provided faced or un-faced, with the option of reinforced scrim or aluminium foil.
Promat Promaseal Range
Products available are: RSB which is designed to prevent fire from travelling into a building’s void between the rainscreen system and outer face, fire barriers, fire compound and fire compound extra strength, intumescent acrylic/silicone sealant, pipe wrap, uni-collar, fire pillows, expansion joint strips and Promaslab which forms cavity fire stops.
Promat TL Board: Board for thermal upgrading and manufactured from calcium silicate and is bonded to phenolic insulation.
Promatect 250: This mineral bound, lightweight board provides fire protection to a building’s structural steelwork.
Promat Vermiculux: Achieves a maximum of 240 minutes of fire protection when applied to structural steelwork, Promat’s Vermiculux is a low-density calcium board, reinforced with inorganic steel fibres and fillers.
Promatect L500: This Class 0 product is a low density, flame resistant calcium silicate board that is designed for application to ductwork.
Promat Vicuclad: Designed to provide optimum thermal insulation, this non-combustible board has the cellular structure of vermiculite and achieves a maximum of 240 minutes fire protection for sheet metal ducts and smoke extract ducts.
Promat System Glass: When exposed to fire, this range maintains its integrity and resistance; products include glazed screens and all glass doors.
Promat Flamebreaker: Designed to work alongside Masterboard or Supalux, this exposed grid system is ideal for industrial and general purpose linings. (Available with a galvanised steel finish)
Monolux: An inflexible, flame resistant, lightweight calcium silicate board designed for application to constructions and linings. Built to provide a maximum of 240 minutes fire resistance the Monolux is ideal for both soft and hard veneers.
Promatect HD: Suitable for external application, this board has been compressed to create a denser product and is manufactured from Portland cement mixture, organic fibres and mineral fillers.
High Temperature Insulation
Dalfratex: This range of inorganic materials works to up to 1600°C; if temperatures reach 1700°C, Dalfratex melts and vaporises. Additionally, this product provides electrical insulation until temperatures of 1000°C.
Duratec: Manufactured from calcium silicate and available in the 750 or 1000 range, these technical ceramics provide thermal and electrical insulation.
Duratec XP: Duratec XP is a board of glass fibre, reinforced with calcium silicate to create a flexible, non-conductive structure.
Modlag: Designed for vessels, pipework, fittings and equipment, this hydrated calcium silicate thermal insulation system is constructed of several can be used several times, and is ideal for areas with complex shape or limited access.
Monalite: Manufactured to provide a thermally insulating system ideal for various processing industries, such as aluminium casting and furnaces.
Monolux 500/800: Made using low thermal conductivity insulation materials, Promat exclude the use of asbestos and mineral fibres in the manufacture process of this product.
Promaform: This range of inflexible parts and boards are vacuum formed to provide a lightweight, temperature resistant structure, with a low thermal conductivity and high chemical and thermal shock resistance.
Promaglaf HTK: This bio-usable fibre blanket comes in thicknesses of 13mm, 19mm, 25mm and 50mm to provide temperature insulation up to 1260°C.
Promalight 240 and Promalight 240 FX: These panels are available with microporus inflexible or flexible stitched structures.
Promalight 320: Designed for the most demanding thermal insulation jobs, these slim, lightweight panels are chemically inert and thermal resistant in temperatures up to 950°C.
Promasil 1000: Promat UK supplies this calcium silicate insulation for application to pipe sections, segments and slabs. Promasil 1000 is designed to provide high thermal conductivity and temperature stability.
Superset AC1, Hard Set and Superplastic: The cement, clay or powder based products are designed for application over preformed insulation.
