Wet pour surfaces are often specified for multi-sports pitches and play surfaces. Nova Sport has developed a safety play surface known as Novaplay, which is compliant with the recommendations set by British Standards and is widely used by local authorities, county councils, schools, hospitals, nurseries, theme parks, breweries and hotels throughout the UK.

Wet Pour Surfaces

Wet pour surfaces are porous, offering excellent drainage solutions, reducing the chances of flooding. Wet pour surfaces can be used for large and small surface areas and are extremely versatile, cost effective and easy to install. The safety surface offers various Free Fall Height options which are determined by the height of the play equipment. The higher the equipment, the deeper the depth and greater the area needs to be. Wet pour surfaces can be laid on a variety of base specifications, and should be prepared to ensure all existing surfaces adjacent to the safety surface are at the same height, to prevent trip points. NovaPlay Play Surface

The product is made with a combination of special graded rubber particles and a polyurethane binder, which are mixed together on-site to form the continuous surface. NovaPlay can be adapted to meet the safety requirements of all types of play equipment and can be fitted around equipment without any joints.

NovaPlay is available in a huge variety of bright and bold colours to inspire, stimulate and excite children. Strong visual effects such as animals, patterns and logos can be created to enhance the playground surface. Other unique and original surface patterns can be created by mixing standard colours.

EcoScape Softbond

EcoScape softbond is a natural looking safety surface which is a versatile alternative to bark chippings. EcoScape is ideal for sensitive areas that require the surrounding area to look as natural as possible, such as parks, woodland play areas stately homes and conservation areas. EcoScape has been developed to eliminate the need for specific ground preparation and can be laid over various surfaces including grass and concrete and is certified to BS 1177 for playground use. Requiring little maintenance, EcoScape is available in a range of natural colours and blends and is a single layer coverage that is ready for use within 24 hours.

Synthetic Sports Surfaces

NovaSport Rubber Surfaces

Nova Sport offers two options within the rubber surface category, NovaSport and Textured NovaSport. The former consists of black rubber granules bound with polyurethane, which can be left untreated for maximum economy. Textured NovaSport is the same as the standard NovaSport product, but has a high-traction textured colour coat finish. The spray coat can be red or green and comprises of a coloured elastomer, incorporating particles of EPDM rubber. Nova Sport has developed multi-sport pitches ranging from small community goal areas to full size international pitches. Coloured line markings for any sport can be incorporated into the synthetic surface or can be painted on with a polyurethane paint.

NovaTurf Synthetic Grass Surfaces

NovaTurf is a synthetic grass surface made of polypropylene fibres which are used to keep the mineral fill in place. It is basically a sand surface whose playing characteristics are determined by the grade of turf chosen. Throughout the UK, the majority of pitches select the 3g long pile/third generation surface. This surface offers a superior performance which can be enhanced if used with Shockpad, a polyurethane bound rubber granular shock absorbent pad. There is a range of thicknesses available to suit specific performance requirements. NovaTurf will require additional attention and maintenance, including the renewal of surface finishes and line markings, especially in high wear areas.
