Nordic Saunas and Steam was established in 1965 and is a renowned designer and installer of standard and bespoke saunas, steam rooms and wellness equipment. Nordic is the sole provider of Mr Steam products who are market leaders in steam room generators and controls.
Nordic has formed partnerships with new and well-established manufacturers to ensure that the company is at the forefront of design and innovation, to satisfy the ever-increasing demands of the client. The new ranges of saunas are all handcrafted to improve the overall quality and finish of the saunas. The design team is not restricted with the shape or design of the saunas and can create virtually any design required.
Services
Nordic provides a comprehensive range of services covering the whole design, installation and servicing of equipment. The design team will assess specific requirements with the client and an experienced area representative will carry out a full site survey. Utilising AutoCAD technology and a wealth of leisure industry experience, an innovative and unique solution will be created and tailored to individual budgets and specific requirements. Installations are carried out by fully trained carpenters and electrical engineers who hold CSCS qualifications and are fully insured. Servicing of equipment is available and the skilled engineers are experienced in servicing numerous types of equipment from manufacturers such as Mr Steam, Harvia, Tylo and Dale. Maintenance contracts are also available throughout the UK. Full training on the safe and correct operation of the saunas and steam rooms will be provided upon completion.

Saunas
Saunas are designed to provide a unique experience where individuals can enjoy the natural and calming relaxation that comes from a Finnish sauna and the pleasure of nature. Nordic saunas are a combination of natural elements including wood, stone and water that create a completely relaxing oasis. LED or four colour lighting systems can be added to provide an extra sensory experience and essence systems add the benefit of an aroma to maintain a fresh smelling sauna. Options include:
Commercial Saunas
The commercial sauna cabin range is suitable for hotels, spas and leisure complexes and includes a Traditional range which uses traditional style stoves that provide the bather with a true sauna experience where they add the preferred amount of water to create a steam shock. Hidden Heater saunas have a concealed stove which is usually located behind the benches and allows for increased seating within the sauna. The Bio-Sauna combines a stove with a built-in or remote steam generator.
Domestic Saunas
The domestic sauna range satisfies both modern and traditional requirements of the residential market. Options range from traditional Finnish cabins manufactured from top grade pine through to bespoke hand-made luxury cabins with touch screen controls. A full range of pre-fitted accessories can be included in the design which includes fibre optic systems, essence systems, sliding glass doors and concealed lighting. All Nordic saunas are available in various timber options with vertical or horizontal boards. Options include Traditional and Bio-Saunas.
Infrared Saunas
Infrared cabins have seen a dramatic increase in popularity over the last few years. Many sold in the UK are imported from the Far East, but Nordic only supplies European hand-made cabins. Infrared saunas are reported to relax muscles, which in turn will add blood supply causing a more effective degeneration of sprains and inflammations as well as relieving aching muscles and joints.
Steam Rooms
Nordic has many years of experience in creating bespoke steam rooms in luxury spas and hotels and private domestic properties. The steam rooms can incorporate LED or fibre optics to complement the standard downlight fittings. The steam rooms can be used for both domestic and commercial applications and can be designed to virtually any configuration; they can also be adapted to accommodate disabled access and shower systems. The steam rooms are capable of creating steam all day, every day and require very little maintenance and no de-scaling. The key feature of the steam room is the steam generator that features a metal outlet that allows aromas to be infused inside. Options include:

- Cleopatra acrylic modular steam rooms which are easy to clean and maintain; ideal for commercial applications
- Hybrid steam rooms provide the commercial sector with a steam room as attractive as a fully tiled cabin but combine the benefits of durable and hygienic acrylic.
