Noberne Seals Ltd is based in Leeds and was established in 1987. Since then it has become a leading supplier of intumescent seals and weather seals for all purposes.
The team has more than 75 years of combined experience within the Passive Fire Protection industry and are available to advise clients which fire seals, acoustic seals, glazing seals and weather seals are most suited to the application.

Fire Seals, Smoke Seals and Acoustic Seals
This range of products offers the maximum seal properties for fire and smoke. All of the seals in the range are tested to meet BS 476 part 20:22 for fire only and BS 476 31:1 for smoke leakage. Acoustic performance is also important and many of the company’s products are tested with BS EN ISO140-3:1995 meeting Approved Document E. The seals can be used in single and double leaf doorsets and meet the Approved Document M requirements and also complies with Certifire approval. The seals come with a self-adhesive backing as standard and meet ISO9001:2000 standards.
Glazing Seals
The Company can supply glazing seals to allow natural light to penetrate a room. The glazing seals can be supplied for all projects using fire-rated internal doors and glazed screens. The glazing is also noted as an additional safety measure to allow room occupants to be seen and aided in case of an emergency. The glazed seals meet the standards now recognised by Approved Document M, which accepts the importance of this product.
Weather Seals
Weather Seals provide optimum weather protection as well as protection against sound and vermin. Ideal for external windows and doors, the range can be used in any type of frame such as wood, PVC, steel, glass or aluminium. The seals are also suitable in areas where disabled access is required and all products in this range meet disability regulations within Approved Document M.
Fire and Air Systems
Ideal for fire resisting doorsets, the range offered can give protection for up to four hours. The systems allow air to be circulated through a building. The products have Certifire approval for fire rated air transfer systems in timber doors, walls and floors.
Construction Products
The range of products offers both permanent and temporary solutions. Durable, versatile and very economic the company holds stocks of pipe collars, wraps, pillows and linear gap seals. All products have been tested to BS476: Part 20: 1987 and other international standards.
Associated Products
The Company also supplies a range of associated accessories for use with products in all applications. These include anti finger jambs for use in schools and nurseries. These offer prevention against fingers being jammed in between the hinge edge of the door leaf and door frame. Other products include a range of sealants and mastics and door furniture such as letterplates and door hardware.
The company has formed excellent relationships with key manufacturers in this product area such as Lorient Polyproducts, Mann McGowan, Sealmaster Ltd and Pyroplex Ltd. All jobs, no matter what size, can be undertaken and products delivered on time and to budget.
