Lighting Systems

Permanent Lighting

Musco Lighting has developed a range of permanent floodlighting systems for indoor and outdoor applications. The floodlights are designed for easy installation in five sections from the foundation to the pole top. Each section plays a vital role in the safety and reliability of the lighting system and incorporates a precast concrete base, an electrical components enclosure, a steel pole, a wire harness and finally the pole top luminaire assembly.

The lighting systems available include:

• Light Structure Green

Suitable for recreation and athletic facilities, Light Structure Green incorporates innovative technology within the reflector design that reduces offsite spill light by 50% and lights are custom fitted onto the required area. Light Structure Green is an energy efficient, aesthetically pleasing system that offers dramatic light control capabilities. Lamp life can be increased from 3,000 to 5,000 hours, an increase of 66% in operating efficiency using a series of timed power adjustments with the Smart Lamp operating system.

• Light-Pak

Light-Pak is an energy efficient lighting system for indoor use such as gymnasiums. The system can be operated at two different energy levels using the Multi-Watt feature to meet individual lighting requirements. Light-Pak is 20% more efficient than other light sources, can feature optional zoning, offers trouble-free, quiet operation, is lightweight and simple to maintain due to ground level electrical components.

Temporary Lighting

Musco Lighting has developed two cost effective temporary lighting solutions within self-contained lighting rigs, the Musco Light and Mini Musco. These rigs are available for hire from the company head office in Bolton. A complete service including field mapping, surveys, consultation, installation and on-site operation is also available. The award winning floodlighting systems have been used for many applications including sporting events, broadcasting and production companies and special events.

• Musco Light

This is a completely self-contained, portable floodlighting system that offers fifteen remote controlled 6K HMI lights which are fixed on a hydraulic boom of 150ft to give 120 million candela of light. The Musco Light can flood up to 40,000 square feet with 269 lux up to 1/8km away and is suitable for a vast array of external applications.

• Mini Musco

The Mini Musco floodlighting system is ideal for film, entertainment and sports applications. As a smaller system, the Musco Light is easy to manoeuvre and can be used in tight locations. Fixed to a fully articulated crane with an 80ft boom, Mini Musco can achieve flicker-free multi-directional floodlighting with a 360 degree rotation and 210 degree tilt capability.

• Light Bar

Light Bar floodlighting systems are suitable for internal and external temporary lighting applications including sporting events, concerts, news events and parades. Each light bar features four fixtures which are mounted on pre-wired pre-assembled bars and can accommodate either of two light sources, tungsten halogen and metal halide lamps. The system is operated via remote control focusing and self-levelling systems that are easy to set up, cost effective and offer excellent lighting results.

• Showlight

The Musco Showlight is a temporary floodlight system offers superior glare control and theatrical lighting flexibility with on/off capabilities.
