Founded in 1954, the company has seen considerable growth and is the UK’s leading premium brand for bespoke timber sliding sash windows, casement windows and French doors.
With more than fifty years of industry experience, the company’s key aim is to produce the most superior timber windows and French doors by utilising traditional craftsmanship with modern production facilities and innovative technologies. Mumford & Wood has established a highly respected reputation with home owners and house builders throughout the country and over 90% of orders are architect specified.
Services
Sash windows were originally found in Georgian and Victorian houses but do not look out of place in more modern domestic and commercial properties. Mumford & Wood can design and manufacture replacement sash windows in a wide range of styles that are sympathetic to the building and the surrounding environment. The company has created window and door systems for new-build and restoration properties in conservation areas and for contemporary modern buildings. As a specialist manufacturer of bespoke windows and doors, the company can now provide complete survey and installation packages through its sister company Mumford & Wood Installations Ltd. All the windows and doors are available with a wide range of paint finishes, glass types and profiles and the doorsets can incorporate mobility thresholds.
