Cladding Systems
MSP is a national fabricator of Trespa UK decorative panels, Scottish suppliers of Steni UK’s range of aggregated boards and anti-slip panels, Prodema Prodex panels which feature a natural timber veneer cladding surface and in more recent times, MSP has become the approved Scottish distributor for Arpa UK which provides an extensive range of external laminate cladding systems. MSP can offer guidance to the design team with services including budget costing, typical details and specification clauses for the panels and framing systems available. The company has an in-house powder coating plant which is approved by Synthia Pulvin, Qualicoat and Interpon D and has the capability to supply trims and flashings to the nearest RAL/BS/NCS colour or to that of the cladding panel or to an exact match where aluminium or galvanised steel panels are being used.
Fabrication
MSP offers a wide range of fabrication services and employs a skilled and experienced workforce to ensure high quality products. The company has formed a highly respected reputation within the construction industry and service has always been a key principle of the company. Fabrications are made using various mill-finished, pre-coated and post-painted aluminium and steel sheets and MSP can supply the simplest of flashings through to highly complex specialist components. Bespoke manufactured products such as rainscreen panels and window pods enable MSP to provide total refurbishment packages from a single source.
MSP is continuously investing in new and innovative equipment to keep the level of services and manufacturing capabilities at the forefront of the industry. The equipment enables the company to offer a round-the-clock production service and there is an in-house delivery team who can comply with the most demanding project requirements. The manufacturing facility can provide the following production capabilities:
- 100 and 140 tonne Colgar press brakes
- 150 tonne Adira press brakes and 160 tonne Servo press brakes
- Cybelec CNC and forming capacity for 4m x 3mm in mild steel and 5mm in aluminium
- 4m x 6mm Adira guillotine, 3m x 3mm Cincinnati guillotine and a 4mm Colgar guillotine
- 8m x 4m vacuum bonding machine which laminates and creates composite panels
- 3m x 3mm capacity power rolls
- A Rainer OS 2500 turret punch linked to an integral Radan CAD/CAM facility
- Aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel welding using TIG or MIG processes.
Powder Coating
MSP is one of the UK’s leading architectural powder coating facilities which was initially formed as Strathclyde Powder Coatings, over 25 years ago. In 1999 the plant became part of the MSP and was fully amalgamated in 2007 to form a major role within the MSP Group. MSP is the only approved Qualicoat accredited applicators in Scotland of Interpon and is an approved provider of Synthia Pulvin and Du Pont powder coatings. The in-house powder coating facility operates to ensure that there is continuous and unrivalled level of product quality and service at all times. The company offers the most innovative standard powder coating facilities and has the capability to create eco-friendly, chrome-free pre-treatments.
