Sudstech
This innovative eco-friendly porous paving solution eradicates standing water by using a resin bound aggregate over a layer of recycled car tyres. It is fully SuDs compliant and can earn up to 9 BREEAM credits.
Sudstech offers unrivalled porosity – up to 50,000 litres per m² per hour – with full 360 deg attenuation to combat flash flooding. The system has been fully tested at the British Research Establishment for impact and freeze/thaw qualities. The flexible recycled tyres sub-base eliminates the delamination and clogging that can occur when resin bound porous surfacing is laid over traditional tarmac or concrete. The result is a low-maintenance paving solution that does not crack and is impervious to tree root intrusion. It comes with a 10-year continuous porosity guarantee.
Available in a choice of colours and finishes using natural stone aggregate sourced in the UK, there is a Sudstech surface to complement all sorts of environments. Varying grades of angular aggregates are used to maximise the durability of the surface and finishes can be modified to meet specified weight loading capacities.
Trailflex
Trailflex offers the same superb porosity, low maintenance and durability features as Sudstech, with the added benefit of flexibility up to 90 degrees. First developed for areas containing trees under protection order, it will not crack with tree root intrusion so reduces the risk of trips and is ideal for areas in the public realm such as car parks, cycle paths and jogging tracks. It has a straight line loading of 17.5 tonnes.
Using specially developed resin with stone and a recycled tyres base, Trailflex is fully SuDs compliant, BRE tested and can earn up to nine BREAM points. There is a 10-year porosity guarantee.
The one part cold poured system means Trailflex can be laid very quickly using minimal equipment. No edging is required during installation and Trailflex requires very little ground work. For applications such as forest trails where there may be access problems, the surface can be laid directly onto Terram. This method allows Trailflex to follow the contours of the surrounding terrain.
Cerama Pave
Cerama Pave are the UK’s first fully permeable recycled ceramic pavers. Unlike other so-called permeable pavers on the market today, Cerama Pave has a porous structure allowing water to pass completely through the body of the block, rather than through a channel created between them.
Hydrorock™
These environmentally friendly water management systems use infiltration blocks made from 100% recyclable natural stone wool and basalt to collect and store water. Excessive rain or ground water is absorbed, protecting the surrounding area from flood damage, before being gradually released into the surrounding soil over time.
The stone blocks, with a filter cloth membrane, withstand erosion by plants and tree roots and can remain underground for decades without deterioration. Hydrorock blocks have an absorption and discharge capacity of 94% of volume. They are easy to install with no pipework necessary.
Blocks can be used vertically and horizontally for efficient draining, buffering and infiltrating of excess rainwater in urban and rural areas. They are supplied with a stainless steel grate for linear drainage in gardens to prevent flooding on patio areas and driveways with no need for a sewer connection. They can also be supplied with an integrated perforated pipes for projects separating and infiltrating rainwater in buildings.
