Products

Partitioning Systems

  • Single/Double Glazed Polar: In its single glazed form, the system can be either silicone or dry jointed. It is virtually frameless, with no vertical posts between modules, corners or junctions. In double glazed form the system is totally relocatable as no silicone is used, even at glass-to-glass joints. Shared support to both panes of glass is provided by the unique "ghost post". Available in straight, faceted or curved glass modules.
  • Polar Vision: Polar Vision is one of the latest products to be added to the Polar range of glass partitions. It is dry jointed and constructed without mullion posts to give a seamless style. The system has been tested to achieve 30 mins fire protection for both insulation and integrity. There is a choice of door options from glass, in an aluminium frame, to timber in a timber frame. Depending on the glass combinations used, Polar Vision can provide up to 48dB (Rw) sound performance.
  • PolarTec: A double glazed partitioning system which has been tested to provide 30 minutes integrity and insulation for fire resistance; 46dB (Rw) for sound performance and "Severe" strength to BS 5234. In additional tests it achieved the necessary standards to meet crowd pressure requirements. PolarTec is also demountable and relocatable. It is ideally suited for public areas with high volume traffic, in particular schools, colleges and universities.
  • Polar 100: Polar 100 provides a fully integrated system that can accommodate single glazed, double glazed and solid elements.

Single and double glazed formats comprise perimeter framing only, with vertical glass edges abutting a small infill strip. Visually monolithic solid elevations feature a flush skirting and a recessed head, this head detail being common to all elevations. The multi-function, single action door frame may be incorporated within glazed or solid runs and can house timber and glass door sets.

  • Ls90: The bi-panel characteristic of Ls90 facilitates speed of build with quality-controlled factory prepared elements. Modules are interchangeable from glass to solid without disturbance to adjacent components. Its hung panel design, with recessed base and head incorporating +/- 25mm deflection, creates a true floating panel effect with no visible framing on solid elements. Module sizes from 600-1500mm are available. Komfort also supply doors and graphics that complement the partition range.
  • Klassic: A veneered system which can incorporate many different styles in both solid and glazed form. Klassic provides complete flexibility and relocatability together with ease of assembly. It is also suitable for applications where good sound and fire performance are required. To enhance the beauty of Klassic's natural materials and ensure continuity of finish, all the factory manufactured components are pre-finished in a clear lacquer.
  • Komfire 75/Kameo 75/Komfire 100: Functional 75mm partitioning systems with a choice of either angular or radiused componentry. Komfire also comes in double skinned form as a 100mm system to provide enhanced sound and fire performance offering up to 52dB (Rw) and 60 minutes respectively.
  • 600 Series: A 50mm partition system suitable for most general office applications. 600 Series is uncomplicated in its installation and many diverse schemes may be produced through choice of framework colour and panel decoration. It is available in both angular and radiused profiles.

Storage

  • KM3: is a storage wall system that provides high volume and flexible storage. It integrates with Komfort's partitioning ranges, is relocatable and can double as a partition wall. Back panels are designed to be interchangeable with the doors and, if required, KM3 may be demounted and relocated to another area. A wide range of storage fittings is available, including lateral filing shelves, pull out filing, AV units, display cabinets and wardrobes.

Movable Walls

  • Komfort 80: Komfort 80 system is a top hung movable acoustic wall of light construction made up of individual panels designed to give economical but strong and long lasting use. Komfort 80 is ideal for use in meeting rooms, class rooms and offices. Made up of individual panels, it is designed to give economical but long lasting use in the division of spaces requiring flexibility, offering good levels of sound reduction and a high quality finish.
  • Komfort 200: is primarily supplied as a floor supported option where overhead support in unavailable or when client's budgets dictate an economic answer. Alternatively, a top hung system requiring no floor track is also available when an adequate support structure is in place. Panels are connected by attractive matching satin anodised aluminium hinges, forming a flat wall when positioned across the opening. The floor supported option allows panels to run on a shallow 9mm high aluminium floor rail designed to fit over a raised floor or floor screed. Protruding only 4mm above a finished floor service the rail is designed to avoid tripping and dirt accumulation. A butyl rubber channel seal fitted to the bottom of each panel, brushes the floor rail surface only to prevent drag and wear on the floor finishes.

Doors

  • Veneered Doors: Virtually unlimited decorative styles and moods can be captured with veneered doors. The infinite variety of grain and figure pattern, colour and texture can create the most beautiful and distinguished environments.
  • Veneers: Wood is a natural material. When purchasing veneered products be prepared for slight variations in the colour and characteristics as each log is unique. Another important consideration is that each veneer is subject to light. The colours may intensify or fade over a period of time. This all contributes to the fascination of using veneer as a design material.
  • Glass Doors: Komfort's glass door systems allow light to flood through the workplace to create an atmosphere of space. Komfort's considerable choice of glass doors form an integral part of any partition wall and interior. Choose from pivot, sliding, framed or frameless. Eye-catching manifestation applied to doors also add interest. Utilising one of a combination of the 9 colours from the "K" series glass vinyl range, a design can be created to comply with the requirements of Part M of the Building Regulations and assist Corporates to meet their duties under the Equalities Act (previously DDA).
  • Laminate doors: Komfort's laminate door finishes include Polyrey Durion and Papago range, along with Formica Fundamentals and plain colours. Other finishes from these suppliers are available on request.
  • Door furniture: Komfort's door furniture from stylish lever handles to functional signs and symbols. Each piece is characterised by it's high quality, distinctive design, ease of operation and tactility. Used individually or in any combination, our collection will provide the finishing touch to the most sophiticated new build or refurbishment project.

SwitchGlass

  • SwitchGlass: By simply applying a PET film containing a liquid crystal polymer, the visual appearance of the glass can be changed from opaque to clear when an electrical current is activated. A simple On-Off mode switch can provide privacy or transparency depending on your requirement.
  • SwitchGlass Plus: Komfort's new "SwitchGlass Plus" is a groundbreaking product that enables instant and precise privacy control of glass at the flick of a switch. The high quality bespoke 11.8mm laminated glass changes from opaque to transparent when a low electrical current is applied to the liquid crystal interlayer encapsulated between two 5mm glass sheets. This visual change takes place in less than a second and allows domestic or commercial property owners a choice from crystal clear vision or complete privacy whenever necessary. Komfort's SwitchGlass Plus can be used for internal partitioning and for doors in office buildings where privacy control is important.

Blinds and Graphics

  • Integral Blinds: Offices are often designed to be an expression of a corporation, its values and its brands. Primarily, it is the quality materials and robust mechanism that has been rigorously tested and put through the most demanding and stringent of paces. Using steel means that the product is durable to wear and tear strong enough to remain rigid.

By inserting the blind into the unit the product remains dust free, unlike external blinds which require a high degree of regular cleaning. The blinds, are designed to suit a 15mm - 25mm sealed unit cavity and are available in a variety of colours and finishes. They can be supplied in Venetian form and there is a choice of opening methods.

  • Vertical Blinds: Komfort now supply a range of vertical blinds. These are created from a fabric that meets fire regulations specified by European standards in accordance to BS 5867 Part 2 Type B. The fabric has either been woven with non-flammable fibre glass, Trevira CS or impregnated/coated with fire retardants.

Solar and optical properties of fabrics can be used to assist in the design of temperature control systems within buildings and the installation of window blinds can be more cost effective than installing an air conditioning system to control the heat within a building. The installation of suitable window blinds can reduce the glare within a building, which is particularly relevant where computers are used intensively. In addition to this there are legal health and safety regulations for areas with display screen equipment (i) (ii) require that ‘windows shall be fitted with a suitable system of adjustable covering to attenuate the daylight that falls on the workstation’.

Manifestation

To achieve the same look as silk-screening, film manifestation offers a more cost effective and flexible option. It is a favourite for creating company logo's and signs in reception areas and should future fashions dictate, may be removed and new designs applied.

This provides a cost effective and flexible alternative to either etching or sandblasting glass.
