Established in 1903, Kingspan Access Floors (KAF) is the world leader in the supply, manufacture and installation of raised access floors and has a 40 year track record. KAF continues to produce and develop high quality raised flooring solutions for cable management and conditioned air distribution to a wide range of construction projects. The company supplies its products worldwide via a selected network of contracting partners including their own in house specialist contracting company, the only organisation that is third party accredited to ISO 9001 for flooring installation.
Products
Kingspan Access Floors has two main products sets comprising wood core floor panels and steel cemetitious panels.
RMG600 Series
This floor panel is a PSA rated encapsulated particle board and uses a unique wrap around construction enabling the panel to be removed and replaced easily. Various adaptations and finishes can be applied to this system to meet particular specifications. The RMG600 Series is available in 600 x 900mm and can be installed in applications from light to heavy grade footfall and usage.
Torlock
The Torlock system is a screw down floor panel but is slim line at a thickness of only 26mm which fully maximises the usable space beneath. The wrap around construction totally encapsulates the chipboard core providing good acoustic performance, strength and stability. The Torlock panel construction also has Class O fire rating.
FDEB30 Series
For applications where strength and heavy grade requirements are essential, the FDEB 30 Series is PSA rated raised access loose lay floor panel. The system offers a wide range of coverings such as vinyl, linoleum, HPL or rubber. This system has a full depth edge band which totally encapsulates the chipboard core and protects right to the edge of the surface covering.
With a fully automated factory in Hull, KAF has a manufacturing capability exceeding 170,000 units per week. Kingspan Access Floors carries out its manufacturing and installation operations within the ISO14001 accreditation for Environmental Management and is committed to its environmental responsibility. Although accredited to ISO 14001, concerns about the environment do not stop there; after assistance from the Carbon Trust, considerable investment has been made towards an energy conservation program at the facility in Hull.
Kingspan Access Floors has also been awarded FSC accreditation (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody. Kingspan Access Floors is the only access flooring manufacturer across the globe, that has adopted this standard and which has received third party accreditation.
