Kalzip Services

Kalzip provides a complete service package covering product selection, detailed CAD drawings, technical specification and associated literature, design guidelines, bespoke manufacture of the main system and rigorous on-site inspection. The experienced and trained team at Kalzip works closely with architects, designers, specifiers and approved Kalzip installation contractors tailoring specifications to satisfy the individual requirements of the project.

Products

Regardless of the size or design geometry of a structure, Kalzip’s versatility allows for the most innovative and architecturally inventive concepts to be carried out with precision. The flexibility of aluminium allows Kalzip to create stunning and beautiful curved and tapered designs and with the introduction of XT roll forming technology, exceptionally tight radii can be achieved. Kalzip can be made to sheet lengths in excess of 150 metres. Kalzip is a multi-purpose, multi-component system which is used for roofs, facades and the entire building envelope. Kalzip’s roof and cladding systems are available in various finishes, RAL colours, coatings and materials. In addition to aluminium, the system is offered in stainless steel, copper, AluPlusZinc or AluPlusPatina as well as stucco-embossed finish. Options include:

Roofs

Kalzip can be specified for warm and cold roof constructions in any shape such as curved, tapered and any pitch from 1.5 degrees upwards. Depending upon the roof’s supporting structure and each individual application, the roof configuration can be adapted to suit specific requirements such as design, snow and wind loading performance targets. Kalzip constructions can be adapted to accommodate various acoustic performance requirements using high density insulation, acoustic boards and flexible membranes. Design options include:

  • Kalzip Flat Roof for flat/low pitched roofs down to 1.5 degrees
  • Kalzip Linear Roof for new-build constructions
  • Kalzip Structural Deck Roof for long span installations
  • Kalzip Linear Deck Roof for new-build constructions where purlin centres are greater than normal
  • Kalzip Structural Cassette System for roof and wall applications
  • Kalzip Low U-Value Roof Systems featuring a dual insulation system capable of achieving U-Vales of 0.10W/m2k

Solar and Green Roof Systems

Kalzip has created a range of solutions for sustainable buildings which will benefit today’s society and future generations. These include:

  • AluPlusSolar is a sheet roof system that provides a lightweight and fully integrated renewable power generation source. The system incorporates a strong and flexible triple-junction amorphous thin-film photovoltaic (PV) laminate that is factory bonded onto an aluminium standing seam and blends in unobtrusively into the roof profile
  • SolarClad is a roof mounted solar solution that can be retro-fitted to an existing Kalzip standing seam roof or installed as part of a new-build development. The PV laminates are attached to aluminium carrier panels for easy installation
  • Nature Roof is a low-growing, self-regenerating, drought resistant plant cover that offers superior environmental benefits, but also enhances the aesthetical appeal and insulation of a building

Facades

Kalzip has developed a range of façade and rainscreen systems that combine lightness, durability, low maintenance, strength and sustainability with the freedom to create stunning architecture. These systems are available in a wealth of colours, finishes and profiles including corrugated, perforated and trapezoidal.

Options include:

  • Kalzip FC rainscreen is a lightweight, flexible aluminium system which provides a cost-effective solution suitable for new-build and refurbishment projects. This system incorporates intelligent fixing systems which allow components and interfaces to seamlessly integrate with other building elements. The panels are fully demountable and can be recycled or reused and damaged or vandalised sheets can be easily and inexpensively replaced.
  • Kalzip TF Façade is distinctive aluminium profiled cladding which provides an unusual and functional solution for horizontal or slightly pitched elevations. TF Façade is perfect for projects where a non-industrial appearance is required
  • Kalzip MT Façade is a unique profiled system that can be installed horizontally or vertically to provide a modern and appealing look
  • Kalzip Perforated Façade is an ideal solution for upgrading or enhancing a building through the creative use of light. This system is ideal for cantilever roofs, car park screening or to add subtle detailing to large elevations

Foldables

Falzinc and TitanSilver are lightweight and foldable materials which offer two raised seam alternatives to Kalzip aluminium roofs and facades, providing a more traditional look. Falzinc incorporates the benefits of Kalzip aluminium with the distinctive aesthetics of weathered zinc and TitanSilver offers a low-reflectivity and mark-resistant alternative to painted materials and even stainless steel. Both options are ideal for new-build and refurbishment applications and can be used to fabricate technically and visually demanding junctions and interfaces with a selection of complementary accessories and components.

Kalzip is committed to designing and manufacturing a wide and varied range of roof and façade systems using innovative technologies and materials. The experienced team at Kalzip welcomes enquiries and can provide comprehensive advice and information across the whole product range. Every project is fully overseen from start to finish ensuring complete satisfaction.
