Established over 30 years ago, James Mayor Furniture works with professionals and home decorators to create custom-made MDF furniture of any style or size. Each piece is designed and built at the company’s factory headquarters in Birmingham and then delivered to homes across Britain. All pieces are constructed from MDF, with a maple faced interior. The MDF is then painted a chosen colour by one of the company’s own professional decorators.

To order furniture with James Mayor Furniture, customers must provide basic measurements and dimensions of the chosen location (the company will also work with architectural drawings). The style of furniture desired must then be discussed to ensure that once the piece is completed, it will match the room’s interior. The design of the piece can be suggested by the client after looking through the company’s previous projects, or the customer can send in their own sketch of the desired look.
Once this stage is agreed upon, a member of the James Mayor Furniture design team will produce a detailed drawing of the furniture, placing it in a plan of the room to illustrate how the whole space will look upon completion. A site survey may be performed if necessary, and a full quotation is produced before the manufacturing process begins.
