Products
Storvik Window Range
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the STORVIK double and triple glazed window range offers superior thermal efficiency, allowing customers to meet the demands of the BREEAM Code for sustainable homes – including Code 6 due for implementation in 2016. The high security Secured by Design locking system is fitted as standard on the Storvik range, which is manufactured from quality laminated FSC accredited Redwood Nordic Pine.
The double and triple glazed options can be mixed and matched, giving specifiers flexibility within the same window style. The design incorporates a new pin-less beading system and when viewed externally, window furniture can be concealed. The double glazed range offers low U Values to 1.2 W/m2K while the triple glazed range is ultra low, at 0.8Wm2K.
Both ranges incorporate Swisspacer V, the leading warm edge spacer, are BFRC A to C rated and BRE Green Guide A+ rated. They are supplied fully finished in various design, colour and size options and offer extensive guarantees on performance, paint and stain for long-lasting peace of mind.
Sliding Sash Windows
Howarth Windows & Doors’ sliding sash timber windows offer superior value for money while meeting exacting specifications. They are traditionally styled but employ modern techniques such as double sprung balances for smooth operation and a tilt facility for safe and simple cleaning and maintenance.
The efficient 24mm double glazed unit within FSC accredited engineered softwood achieves impressive U values, down to 1.4W/m2K with specific glass and spacer specifications. Engineered softwood results in a strong and stable window, offering a range of standard and non-standard finish options perfect for any application. Secured by Design certification is available. The windows are BRE Green Guide A+ rated and come with a 10-year guarantee on painted finish and 6-year guarantee on stained finish.
Timber Doors
Howarth’s door ranges include high performance doorsets, sliding folding doors, French doors and co-ordinating frames. All feature high quality construction using laminated Redwood Nordic Pine with hardwood sills for greater durability. PEFC accredited timber is available on request. Doors are available in various size and design configurations and all are supplied fully finished with paint or stains. All single and double door sets feature Secured by Design locking system as standard. Swisspacer Ultimate warm edge spacers are fitted where appropriate for improved thermal performance.
Door products include:
- Door sets: The extensive range includes high performance door sets with Continental styling, built to take on the British winter. Doorsets use quality engineered timber to increase stability. The range incorporates 58mm thick doors, which are cleverly rebated to fit into standard door frame rebates. They feature highly efficient low-E Argon filled 24mm sealed units and full weather stripping. All inward and outward opening doorsets hold Secure by Design certification. Double door sets feature multi-point locking. Door sets come in a choice of size and colour options, along with extended performance and finish guarantees.
- Frames: a range of co-ordinating door and entrance frames incorporating an 18mm upstand, giving greater strength and durability to the door frame in line with Secured by Design recommendations. Frames with Part M compliant thresholds are available; also fire check door frames grooved to accept intumescent strips.
- French Doors: Howarth's SBD-certified French doors complement the company's timber window ranges and comply with Part L building regulations. French doors incorporate a concealed deadbolt top and bottom in the slave door in addition to hook bolts top and bottom and deadlocking locks fitted centrally. For added peace of mind, the guarantee in paint finishes is a class-leading 10 years, whilst stain finishes have a six-year warranty.
- Sliding Folding Doors: The Howarth MAXIVIEW sliding folding door range is supplied fully finished to save time and money. Available in a wide choice of designs to suit all situations, MAXIVIEW doors are manufactured from high quality PEFC accredited Redwood Nordic Pine by expert craftsmen using the latest machining technology to ensure quality of surface finish and accuracy of assembly. They feature 24mm double glazed units and durable Iroko sills for added weather resistance. Sliding folding doors are supplied securely packed with glazing, high security locks, handles, gaskets and fittings already in place and either painted or stained to customer's specifications. All MAXIVIEW sliding folding doors use a master door for ease of access.
Conservatories
