Established in 1948, H&E Smith is now a leading manufacturer of refractory glazed tiles for both domestic and commercial settings. The company has grown its product range over the years and is now a major supplier to London Underground and an exporter to Russia.
H&E Smith produces period embossed wall tiles, floor tiles, polished porcelain floor tiles, hand painted and art master wall tiles. Period Embossed wall tiles
There are 18 colours in the range and a variety of corner and moulding pieces to match the tiles. The beauty of these tiles offers natural variations in colour and shading which serves to enhance the overall effect. All colours are complimented by thistle leaf and crown designs with cable, skirting and classic border pieces.
Westminster Floor Tiles
The product range is ideal for period buildings whether commercial or domestic settings and add the perfect finish to any area or walkway. H&E Smith offers a range of ready-made designs which can be mixed with monochrome colours or granite effect to create the perfect pattern. For commercial situations the floor tiles can be textured or have anti slip step treads incorporated.
Porcelain Floor Tiles
H&E Smith supply Charisma porcelain wall and floor tiles to the UK. The range includes Fullbody, Hi-Ker, Glazed Stoneware and architectural glass and mosaics.
Hand Decorated Wall Tiles
To add the finishing touch to any wall the company produces hand decorated wall tiles. These include country images such as fruit and animal scenes and Old English Delft tiles, typically in blue showing people scenes, boats and houses. Also available is the hand painted embossed designs which have been produced by the company for over 80 years. These include corners and straight tiles and also traditional fireplace tiles.
Artmaster Wall Tiles
H&E offers a range of classical works of art, lithographed onto wall tiles with image borders. Images include famous works from Michelangelo, Reuben, Sanzi, Botticelli, Carracci and renaissance artists such as Monet and Van Gogh.
London Underground Tiles
H&E Smith has supplied various tiles to London Underground to ensure accurate restoration of some of the oldest stations but also has incorporated a range of modern designs. The company produces, plain tiles, multi mural tiles, mouldings, underground logo tiles and letters and special embossments where required.
