The dedicated team of craftsmen work to exceptionally high standards, supplying and installing the stunning range of products. The range of services available includes:

• Conservation of Existing Internal Plasterwork and External Stucco: Options include the removal and/or repair of faults and cracks and repositioning pieces back in their original position, securing existing mouldings and decorative features and the removal of decorative fibrous plasterwork which is restored and re-fixed into its original position
• Restoration or Replacement of Internal Plasterwork and External Stucco: This option is carried out using a range of materials that will match the existing features such as haired lime plaster, gauged lime plaster, wattle and daub, riven or sawn softwood or hardwood lathing, reed or fibrous plaster and Roman cement. Other services include the repair and /or replacement of decorative or plain moulded work and replication of in-situ run mouldings and hand modelled decorative features in fibrous plaster, jesmonite and glassfibre reinforced cement
• Condition Surveys and Sample Analysis: Surveys can be carried out to establish the condition of the stucco and plasterwork. Samples will be taken for analysis and a full and detailed report will then be provided
• Plain or Decorative Mouldings: George Cook & Sons can supply and install bespoke and standard fibrous plaster mouldings, fibrous plaster domed ceilings, barrel vaulted ceilings, coffered ceilings, beam and column casings, plain ceilings and walls, glassfibre reinforced cement mouldings, glassfibre reinforced plastic, reinforced cement or jesmonite and the team can also produce models and moulds manufactured from plaster, fibreglass or silicone rubber from drawings, for use by others
• External Rendering: A comprehensive range of rendering services including lime based rendering, insulated lime based rendering and cement based rendering for external applications
• Internal Plastering: A wide range of options for internal plastering applications including lime based plastering, gypsum based plastering and cement based plastering
• Other Services: Other services include drylining using various plasterboard and metal stud partitioning options, floor screeding and floor and wall tiling using ceramic or porcelain tiles

Thermocromex

Thermocromex is a one-coat exterior limestone finish that provides the appearance and permanent durability of natural stone. This product will not shrink or crack and offers a long-lasting finish that does not require re-colouring. It can be applied to almost any substrate, requires virtually no maintenance and is manufactured from natural hydraulic lime (NHL) and contains no VOC’s. Thermocromex is an environmentally friendly material which is widely used in many construction projects today.

Decorative Mouldings

A comprehensive range of decorative mouldings can be produced to satisfy individual bespoke requirements. Alternatively, the company holds an extensive collection of stock patterns. The mouldings can be provided on a supply only or a supply and fit basis. The mouldings are manufactured from plaster, glassfibre, reinforced cement, glassfibre reinforced gypsum, reconstituted stone or glassfibre reinforced plastic.
