Products
Sliding Gates
Automatic electric sliding security gates are available in 6 metre and 10 metre sizes. The smaller gates fit openings of up to 6 metres as a single leaf or up to 12 metres as a double leaf in a cantilever construction and the larger size can cover openings of up to 20 metres.
The high performance gates are manufactured using of a square hollow section frame for strength without too much weight. The infill can be tube, mesh, palisade or bars. Standard finish is shot blasting with a zinc rich primer and top coat. Gates can be galvanised as an option. They operate at a speed of 150mm per second. All automated sliding gates have built-in safety features such as photocells and induction loops. A manual control is also incorporated as standard. Control options include an intercom, card reader, token, push button or keypad.
Swing Gates
Electric swing gates are available to span openings of up to 7 metres (single leaf) or 14 metres (double leaf). Built from square follow section frame with an infill of tube, mesh, palisade or bars, they offer high performance for all kinds of environments. Standard finish is a zinc rich primer and top coat but galvanised swing gates are also offered. Safety features incorporated as standard include photocells and a torque limiter. Gates can be controlled by intercom, a card reader, keypad, push button or token.

Barriers
Automatic Barriers
Gateway Automation manufactures and installs reliable automatic parking barriers and security barriers in three sizes – 6 metres, 7 metres and 9 metres. The design has been perfected over many years and proven to give long service. The 6 and 7 metre barriers have a 75mm pole diameter and the 9 metre barrier uses a 100mm pole. All automatic barriers incorporate an integral three-phase inverter driven motor and gearbox drive for smooth operation, with the latest logic controller which can be programmed to suit individual access requirements. Control options include remote control, proximity cards, vehicle identification tags, token or coin machines. Speeds are adjustable and entry/exit and safety loop detector bases are already built in.
Rising Arm Barriers
These durable barriers built of high quality steel with an aluminium pole offer a low cost solution to parking and traffic management requirements. The GA 600 spans gaps from 3 metres to 7 metres and the GA 900 spans from 7 metres to 9 metres. Both can be locked in either the horizontal or vertical position. The zinc plated shaft pivots on two heavy duty bearing blocks and extra counterweights facilitate lifting.
The pole (75mm diameter for the smaller size and 100mm for the longer barrier) can be finished in a choice of coloured vinyls, with red/white or yellow/black as standard. Barriers come complete with tip support, padlocks and fixings and optional extras include lattice folding pedestrian skirting and signage.
Swing Arm Barriers
GA’s manual swing arm barrier is ideal for unmanned areas or places with low volumes of traffic. It is constructed of steel hollow box section to customer specification for gaps between 3 metre and 8 metre wide. Posts may be surface mounted or sunken and the barrier can be powder coated in colours to suit, or galvanised. The access gate can be locked in either the open or closed position.
Height Restriction Barriers
For restricting unauthorised entry to car parks, GA’s steel rectangular box section height restriction barriers are the answer.
Turnstiles
Half height and full height automatic turnstiles are available in mild or stainless steel to suit a range of applications. Features include 90 degree or 120 degree rotor assemblies and fire alarm activation to engage free rotation. They come with or without canopies and down lighting. GA’s turnstiles can be specified as one-way or two directional and can be controlled by almost any kind of access system.
Road Blockers
GA offers various hydraulic road blockers to effectively bar intruders and unwanted vehicles. These are:
- Automatic rising kerb - Manufactured from welded rectangular hollow section frame and durbar top plate, this unit features an advanced power pack for smooth operation of the kerb and an up to the minute programmable logic controller. Emergency lowering is incorporated as standard.
- Automatic rising bollard - Suitable for commercial or domestic premises, these bollards rise 700mm above ground and are sleeved in polyurethane. Safety features for vehicles and pedestrians are built in.
- Traffic flow plates - These robust heavy steel plates provide an effective way to control traffic direction and prevent unauthorised access. A built-in counter balance action ensures the top plate returns to the upright position after a vehicle has passed over it.
- Speed bumps - Easily installed bumps, humps and ramps are offered in different heights for effective speed control. The heavy duty recycled PVC segments are highly visible.

GA can supply pay and display systems, pay on foot and pay on entry/exit parking control systems.
Fencing
