Formwise Washrooms is based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire and specialises in the manufacture, supply and installation of laminate toilet cubicles, duct panels and vanity units. Formed in 1992, the company owners have over 100 years combined industry experience and provide washroom solutions for educational, medical, retail, hotel, restaurant and other public sectors throughout the UK.
Formally known as Formwise Laminates, the company underwent a management buyout in 2008 and now operates under the new name of Formwise Washrooms. The new owners have made considerable investment in new machinery and have been able to widen the product range and further improve quality. The company has now established a widely respected reputation for competitively priced, superior quality products.
WC Cubicles
There are five main WC cubicle ranges available to suit all requirements and environments; these include Washrooms for Schools, Form, Function, Liquid and Ethos. All cubicles are manufactured to individual requirements and can be supplied in accordance with the latest Building Regulations Part M and Disability Discrimination Act. A wide range of door and panel finish options, sizes and colours are available.
Washrooms for Schools
The Washrooms for Schools range is specifically designed for use in nursery, infant and junior schools. Incorporating bright and bold colours and shapes; the Caterpillar and Butterfly ranges are practical, functional and safe. They can be supplied in a wide range of colours and optional extras including variable overall height and floor clearance, curtains instead of doors and screen printing to panels and doors. The cubicle ironmongery is produced from high quality polished aluminium and the hinges feature anti finger trap detail for extra safety.
- Caterpillar
The hardwearing Caterpillar cubicle range is suited to pre-schools and infant schools and is constructed in 13mm solid grade laminate. The freestanding design offers easy adult supervision and is not intimidating for young children. The doors can be screen printed to incorporate any design specifications and fitted with indicator bolts or magnetic catches and pull handles.
- Butterfly
The Butterfly range is a more conventional cubicle for infant and junior schools where supervision is still an important issue. There are three board performance options including 12/13mm SGL, 20mm HPL and 19mm MFC, and there are three different door and partition heights. With striking and bold design elements including shaped pilasters and the radius to the top and bottom of the doors, the Butterfly range is a comfortable, hygienic and unimposing environment for children.
Form
The Form range of cubicles is architecturally designed to provide a distinctive and contemporary look through clean lines and material choices. The partitions and doors are of a 25mm high density chipboard construction which is faced with high pressure laminate, toughened glass, real wood veneers or cast acrylic. The partition incorporates a 180 degree bullnosed front edge which extends through the cubicle frontage. The doors are hung from and close to Slimline Optisheen stainless steel pilasters. For wet areas, the cubicle panels are constructed using 12/13mm solid grade laminate (Form+). Fitted with an indicator bolt that features an external emergency release, the cubicles can be operated by disabled people. The cubicle legs are adjustable and every cubicle is supplied with a coat hook.
Function
The Function cubicle range is a cost effective, stylish and durable WC facility manufactured from 19mm melamine faced high density moisture resistant chipboard. Panel edges are lipped with matching PVC. The Function+ range offers a more superior performance and is manufactured from 18mm high density chipboard and faced to both sides with high pressure laminate. The cubicle legs can be adjusted and doors feature an external emergency release facility. The hinges incorporate anti finger trap detail and are fully adjustable. Lateral stability is achieved via a stylish headrail. All cubicle fittings are produced in high quality polished aluminium. Optional extras include full height cubicles, children's option, curtains instead of doors and integral bench seating.
Liquid
For more demanding environments, the Liquid range is a versatile and robust cubicle manufactured from 12/13mm solid grade laminate; this includes the doors, pilasters and partitions. Suited to high usage and humid areas, Liquid solid grade laminate is highly durable and impervious to water. The cubicle fittings are extremely resilient and manufactured with polished aluminium for extra corrosion resistance. The cubicle hinges are pilaster mounted and secured through the door to offer an anti finger trap detail. Optional extras include full height cubicles, children's option, curtains instead of doors and integral bench seating.
Ethos
The Ethos range is a sophisticated, minimalist cubicle that incorporates slimline features for a contemporary look. Manufactured from 18mm high density moisture resistant chipboard and faced with a high pressure laminate, Ethos is also available in 12/13mm solid grade laminate (Ethos+) for wet areas. Doors and partitions are also available in toughened glass, real wood veneers and cast acrylic and the minimalist pilasters are produced using folded Optisheen stainless steel. To create a floating appearance the cubicles are fitted with adjustable legs that are set back from view. A range of coordinated stainless steel ironmongery is supplied including emergency release facilities and sprung loaded hinges and a unique dampening system for soft door closure. Lateral stability is achieved via a continuous headrail across the top of the cubicle.
Duct Panels
Formwise Washrooms manufactures a range of coordinating duct panels which are tailor made to exact specification and requirements using MFC, HPL laminate and real wood veneers.
Vanity Units
Formwise Washrooms manufactures vanity units for all types of washroom, ranging from school to commercial and retail washrooms. Vanity units are available in HPL laminate, solid grade laminate (Trespa), solid surface materials (Corian), natural stones and granites.
