The glass coating on either side of the material has been treated with high temperatures and flame retardant polymer to ensure effective fire protection.
The company can supply fire proof fabric sheet for most applications in the construction industry. PU 28 Fire Barrier is ideal for use as sarking felt under thatched roofs. The material in nature is of a consistency similar to a car seat belt and is tough, breathable and waterproof. In most applications the rolls are simply overlapped to ensure continuity of fire protection.
The ‘GEM Plus’ product is ideal for installation over suspended ceilings or for upgrading existing suspended ceilings to a one hour fire rating. The product is foil backed and thus reflects room heat back into the room.
