Products
Pre-Cast Concrete
FP McCann is a leader in the manufacture, supply and delivery of precast concrete solutions that help to reduce construction times, lower costs, reduce on-site waste and offer consistently high performance products to suit many applications. The range includes long-lasting, low maintenance products for sectors including:
Drainage and Water Management
Spigot and socket pipes in a choice of diameters and lengths; standard Easi-Slide concrete pipes and ancillary products; concrete flexible jointed pipes from DN 225 to DN 2400 including bends, junctions and fittings. FP McCann jointed pipes are manufactured and tested in accordance with BS 5911-1:2002 and kitemarked accordingly.
Tunnels and Shafts
All FP McCann’s precast shaft and tunnel products are designed with ease of construction and straightforward installation in mind and are developed to meet the latest industry specifications. The range of high-performance products offering strength and stability in all types of ground conditions includes:
- Segmental shafts in a choice of ring types, suitable for underpinning, chimney and caisson construction works. All have smooth internal faces and are fitted with EPDM rubber gaskets, providing an immediate water-tight seal.
- Smoothbore tunnel linings in sizes designed to meet the exacting needs of the tunnelling industry. The wedge-shaped segments can be modified to suit various joint fixings and a range of tunnel diameters.
- Shaft cover and landing slabs are generally circular to match the McCann range of shaft segments and linings. Bespoke sizes and shapes can also be manufactured and supplied. The cover and landing slabs are cast to order for 'just in time' delivery.
- Cassion rings in diameters of 2100mm up to 4000mm. Caisson reinforcing units are manufactured in accordance with BS EN 1916:2002 and kitemarked where relevant.
- Jacking pipes in a wide choice of lengths and diameters. Other sizes can be made to order. The pipes are made from dense, steel cage reinforced, sulphate resistant concrete with a minimum strength of 50N/mm2 and feature self-lubricating joint gaskets.
Power and Infrastructure
The specialist range of chemically resistant reinforced concrete cable troughs and ducts produced by FP McCann provide protection for power and telecom cables and pipes carrying liquids and gases. The troughs and ducts offer easy access for maintenance and can be sited either above or below ground or flush with the surface to suit local conditions. Products in stock include corner and tee units and comms boxes and specialist units can be made to requirement.
Railway
In addition to cable protection troughs, FP McCann produces other precast concrete components for the rail sector including platform copings and edge warning paving, modular platform systems and London Underground nosing slabs.
Walling
FP McCann’s vast expertise enables the company to manufacture precast concrete walling to suit a wide range of projects. Solutions offered provide walling for soil retention, security, fire and blast protection and flood defence. Retaining wall products include L wall and T wall units in a large range of sizes, horizontal panels and pre-stressed vertical cantilever panels providing great strength in a slender panel. FP McCann’s Easi-bloc system is ideal where space is limited and is simple to install.
Fencing
Extremely durable concrete fencing posts are available in slotted, recessed and morticed styles and gravel boards can be plain, recessed or rock faced. Choices include a lightweight range of posts and gravel boards.
Agriculture
Horizontal and vertical pre-stressed concrete panels are ideal for creating flexible storage solutions on farms. The panels can be used within buildings or in yards to separate and hold livestock, grain and silage. Tongue and groove joints make for easy alignment and sealing and smooth surfaces are easy to wash down. Slatted flooring for cattle, pig or sheep sheds is also produced with a hard-wearing non slip surface.
Room Solutions
FP McCann supplies precast hotel and student rooms to a portfolio of clients that includes some of the biggest names in the business. Individually designed and made to measure units are factory built, therefore are strictly quality controlled and unaffected by weather, before being delivered ready to be quickly assembled using precise, hidden joints. The panels can have windows already cast in, along with runs for services, so that internal trades can commence work without delay. The pre-stressed concrete panels offer great structural efficiency and fire resistance and RoomSolutions™ are constructed in a fraction of the time of conventional accommodation units.

Readymix Concrete
FP McCann supplies Readymix concrete to a range of end users in civil engineering and construction. Products vary in design according to application and mixes are available for house building, industrial, commercial and agricultural needs. All concrete is quality assured and meets the relevant British and European standards. A Readymix selector and calculator tool on the FP McCann website helps customers choose the right concrete. There are special cold weather mixes available.
Mortar and screed solutions are also supplied, including Easi-Flow Liquid Floor Screed, FP McCann’s advanced design calcium sulphate self levelling floor screed for use with underfloor heating systems.
Surfacing
With two manufacturing depots in Northern Ireland, FP McCann is well placed to service commercial and residential surfacing contracts over a large area. Bituminous surfacing materials are tailored to meet customer requirements and all are manufactured and laid to the relevant British and European standards. The product portfolio includes:
