Storage Tanks

The huge array of tanks includes water tanks for drinking water, rainwater storage tanks and chemical and grey/waste water storage tanks in one-piece, two-piece, sectional and totally internally flanged sectional tanks. The product range includes:

• By-Law 30 Water Tanks: Also known as AF/AG Airgap Break Tanks, these insulated tanks are available in sizes ranging from 45 litres to 90,000 litres. By-Law 30 water tanks are WRAS approved and suitable for potable cold water and DT Class 1 solutions. Drayton Tanks supplies the full range of overflow kits, with screened overflow fitting, tank vent/breather and warning pipe to ensure compliance with current regulations.
• Type AB Airgap Water Tanks: Also known as Cat 5 tanks, these WRAS approved tanks for potable cold water and DT Class 1 solutions feature a screened overflow weir to prevent backflow and meet regulations. Type AB Airgap tanks are available from 45 litres to 90,000 litre options with the spillover weir in the side wall or in a raised float valve housing on the lid. The tanks are supplied with 25mm thick insulated walls, insulated bolted lid and foam lid sealer. Screened spillover weirs are also available for fitting to existing tanks.
• Break Tanks: For use in systems that require booster pumps, in addition to Type AB tanks, Drayton Tanks can supply Type AG (cat 4 backflow protection) with inlet valve, screened overflow kit and BSP outlet and break tanks only from 45 litres to 100,000 litres.
• Balance Tanks: Used with swimming pools to balance the level of water in the pool, these tanks are available in one or two-piece versions, plain or insulated and are suitable for chlorinated water up to 70 degrees C.
• Waste and Hot Water Storage Tanks: A huge range of F&E and chemical hot water storage tanks in sizes from 45 litres to 90,000 and a choice of plain or pre-insulated. The effluent tanks can store water up to 70 degrees C and the chemical tanks up to 120 degrees C. The GRP tanks have a smooth lining and come with a bolted lid.
• Potable Water Storage Tanks: All Drayton potable water storage tanks are made to BSEN 13280 and are WRAS approved. Plain and pre-insulated one-piece GRP tanks can be supplied in 45 to 90,000 litre capacities, or made to bespoke sizes. Two-piece tank capacities are from 227 to 90,000 litres and with sectional tanks, made of plain or insulated GRP panels assembled onto an internally or externally bolted base, the choice is virtually limitless.
• Open Top Tanks: A range of open top GRP storage tanks are available for storing water and non-aggressive liquids. The tanks are available in capacities of between 45 and 18,000 litres and can also be made in special sizes.
• Plastic Water Storage Tanks: In addition to the vast range of GRP tanks, Drayton Tank also supplies circular and rectangular MDPE plastic tanks in a wide choice of sizes and rectangular baffled MDPE plastic tanks in a choice of colours and sizes.
• Fittings and Connections: The comprehensive range of fittings includes ball/float valve inlets, solenoid valves, screened overflows, inline screened overflows, screened spillover weirs, screened vents, brass or stainless steel BSP threaded connections, bonded connections, tank connectors, level controls and contents gauges.
• Accessories and Pipes: Accessories available include access hatches, housings and enclosures, covers and lids, raised ball valve housing, division plates, handrails, drip trays and rodent screens. UPVC and ABS piping is available in a wide range or metric and imperial sizes.

Kiosks and Housings

Drayton Tank offers a range of one-piece and sectional housings which are made to a required size. The kiosks and housings are available in plain or insulated options and can feature single or double doors, lockable handles, louvred vents, plywood internal back boards, fire retardant resin on application, various coloured finishes and can be bolted down.

Epoxy Resin Coatings

Drayton Tank’s linings can provide many more years of service for an old or corroded tank, avoiding the need for replacement. The system removes the corrosion and then lines the tank with the material directly onto the solid surface. Tank linings available include epoxy resin in various grades for potable water, chemicals and most other liquids.
