Bio-Bubble Technologies Company Profile
Bio Bubble is based in Farlington, Hampshire and is a leading developer of superior quality waste water treatment technologies. This innovative company has pioneered a holistic approach for the reduction of the overall energy and carbon emissions of waste water treatment. The extensive range of treatment technologies and industrial processing equipment includes biological waste water treatment, M.A.IND screens and solids separation and M.A.IND sludge dewatering.
Bio Bubble installations comprise full-scale municipal, commercial and industrial waste water, sludge and domestic sewage treatment. The company’s Advanced Aeration is a treatment system which combines waste water and sludge treatment using a single reactor. The environmental components, reliability and efficiency of Bio Bubble’s systems have resulted in recognition by the Environment Agency and other environmental organisations.
Services
Bio Bubble Technologies offers customers a complete range of high quality services to ensure total satisfaction. Services include full installation, commissioning, asset maintenance and consultation services to assist customers in specifying the most appropriate solution for any application.
Products
Bio Bubble has developed a comprehensive selection of process plant and equipment which encompass various disciplines of water and waste water treatment in addition to sludge and solids handling and separation. The product range includes:
Advanced Aeration
Advanced Aeration is a British designed, award-winning system which reliably absorbs unforeseen shock organic and hydraulic loads, without compromising the final effluent consent. The system produces an exceptionally low and stable sludge production, combined with a natural odourless operation, low maintenance and a long lifespan. Advanced Aeration combines a number of exclusive international patents, encompassing innovative design which imparts many improvements to waste water and sludge treatment, whilst drastically reducing energy input. Advanced Aeration is used across numerous sectors including:
- Industrial: Advanced Aeration is used in abattoirs, meat processing plants, vegetable preparation and landfill leachate. Further applications include a treatment plant for the decommissioning of explosive substances by the MoD. Key benefits of the system includes no pre-treatment for grease and fat removal, systems produce effluent suitable for discharge into a watercourse, sludge waste is low and most systems installed have been operating reliably and consistently for many years.
- Commercial: Bio Bubble has developed a range of commercial Advanced Aeration systems which can be installed above, below or flush with the ground. Typical applications include shopping outlet centres, theme parks, commercial parks, pubs, hotels, golf clubs, camping sites and hospitals.
- Domestic: The compact range of Advanced Aeration systems serves domestic waste water applications. The discharge produced from the system can flow into ponds, rivers, streams, bog gardens and ditches and is often specified for irrigation applications. The system ensures that effluent and sludge is of a good quality and reduces volume by 90% on average. Tanks can be installed above, below or flush to the ground.
- Aerobic Sludge Thickening: This process uses aerobic and anaerobic digestion and consolidation on a batch, react and supernatant decant principle, achieving 5-7% dry solids thickened sludge without chemical additives. The sludge is capable of meeting the strict standards for disposal onto agricultural land.
Submerged Aerated Filters
Bio Bubble’s Submerged Aerated Filters (SAF) provide an alternative approach for specific requirements. SAF is a fixed-film process which is supplied as a full packaged plant or as a bio-cell unit to fit into purpose-built tanks. The system can be utilised to alleviate existing overloaded systems. The all-in-one systems may comprise of primary settlement, SAF reactor and final settlement. The systems can also feature an integrated screen system, inlet balance tank, pump transfer, contact tank, anoxic reactor and sludge holding. A comprehensive range of supporting ancillary systems is also available. Typical applications include municipal, commercial and domestic waste water, breweries, chemical processing, dairies, distilleries, food processing, textiles and landfill.
Activated Sludge and SBR Processors
Alternative variants of activated sludge and SBR technology are available from Bio Bubble. SBR-EA and SBR-AS systems can be applied to suit various outfall consent limits, provide partial or high rate treatment or satisfy the necessary requirements for discharges to sewers. The systems operate with higher intensities of incoming flows and loads and both have similar batch reaction programmes as Advanced Aeration.
M.A.IND – Solids Separation and Sludge Processing
M.A.IND is an international leader which specialises in the development and manufacture of separation systems for the removal and processing of solids from liquid flows. The systems offer a range of benefits including highly competitive prices, long asset life and easy maintenance. The design, supply and installation of M.A.IND systems is available through Bio Bubble. The systems are designed for smaller industries and applications and products available include:
- Screens
- Grit separation
- Complete screening, grit and FOG separators
- Screw compactors
- Screw conveyors
- Sludge dewatering.
Sludge Dewatering
M.A.IND Sludgeless is a cost-effective solution for sludge thickening or dewatering to small and medium sized water, waste water and industrial effluent treatment applications and some larger applications. The system is automatic and produces thickened sludge up to 15% or dewatered sludge up to 30% DS.
Bio Bubble is fully committed to the environment and is dedicated to satisfying the intrinsic environmental needs that are required today. The systems have all been developed with a holistic approach to reducing overall energy consumption and carbon emissions for waste water treatment. The experienced and knowledgeable team welcomes enquiries and can provide support and guidance from the initial enquiry through to installation and beyond.
