Bath-Knight was founded in 1989 by Bill Steadman, a designer, inventor and engineer who created the Bath-Knight bath lift. The Bath-Knight’s product range has been developed to enable individuals with mobility issues to gain independence in the bathroom. Bath-Knight is a family business and has improved the lives of over 100,000 people and ensures safe and comfortable bathing.

Bath-Knight provides a vast array of solutions for individuals who find it difficult to get in and out of the bath or shower and the wide range of products include bath lifts, chair bath lifts, easy access showers, walk-in showers and walk-in baths for easy access bathing, washing and stairlifts.

Services

The Bath-Knight team will work closely with the client, understanding specific needs and requirements to ensure the correct product is specified. A sales advisor will arrange a home trial and provide a full explanation and demonstration of the equipment to the client. Once a product has been chosen, arrangements will be made for a professional installation by skilled and experienced fitters, who will work in a professional, efficient and friendly manner and will leave the bathroom clean, tidy and ready for use.

Bath-Knight Bath Lifts

Bath-Knight’s range of bath lifts are designed to provide easy and safe bathing. The equipment is powered by mains electricity or battery power and has its own back-up power supply should there be a power failure. Bath-knight bath lifts are designed to hold a maximum weight of 20 stones, are manufactured using an approved Quality Management System ISO 9001 and are approved by the Medical Devices Agency. A five-year warranty covers parts and labour. Options include:

• Deluxe Bath Lift: The Bath-Knight Deluxe is the only bath lift available with a built-in hand rail for added safety. The bath lift is unobtrusive and is simply fitted to the wall of the bathroom next to the bath and lowers the individual slowly and comfortably into the bath. The Deluxe bath lift comes with an optional floating remote control to provide extra convenience and ease of use.
• Original Bath Lift: The Original bath lift was created over two decades ago and remains Bath-Knight's most popular product. The easy-to-use lift operates by simply pulling out the saddleband and hooking it into place, the individual sits on the band and presses the down button on the wall mounted device to lower them in. When ready, the individual then presses the button to be safely raised out of the bath.
• Sonaris Bath Chair Lift: The Sonaris bath chair provides the ultimate comfort, support and safety whilst bathing. The plastic construction of the chair enables it to be easily cleaned and maintained and is extremely portable. The lightweight chair fits into most baths easily and comes with a battery operated hand controller, audible and visual alarms which signal operation and battery charge levels and a sleep function to preserve battery life. The single button operation allows the user to descend and control the angle of recline, for comfort and relaxation.

Walk-In Baths

Walk in baths provide easy access bathing for people who have difficulties getting into a bath. The walk-in range boasts easy access features for lying down bathing or supported bathing. Hydrotherapy is perfect for relaxation and healing and can be installed into the Layezee and Affinity baths. Most baths can be installed in one day and come with a three- year warranty. Options include:

• Affinity Walk-In Bath: The Affinity walk-in bath features an easy to use inward opening door, a low threshold, slip-resistant base, dual waste for fast drainage, contoured back for comfort and it fits into the footprint of a standard bath. Optional extras include colour matching to existing bathroom features, seat extension for extra height, thermostatic taps, pump for fast fill bath, hydrotherapy spa system and grips and towel rings.
• Aventis Walk-In Bath: The Aventis offers all the features of a standard sized bath and can be used by the whole family. Additional features include a low access inward opening door, slip-resistant base, enhanced door access and dual waste kit for fast drainage. The Aventis is the perfect partner for the Bath-Knight Deluxe Lift.
• Layezee Walk-In Bath: The Layezee walk-in bath is ideal for wheelchair users as the height of the bath can be installed to the exact height of a wheelchair, enabling the user to slide easily into the bath. Features include an easy opening door, easy to use plug, shower attachments, water temperature regulator, a hydrotherapy option and can be made freestanding.

Walk-In Showers

Bath-Knight’s walk in shower range is manufactured using the very best materials and incorporates trays, screens, watertight doors, shower curtains and a thermostatically controlled anti-scald system. The walk-in shower range features stylish and practical designs that fit perfectly where a bath would have been.

• Easa Walk-In Shower: The Easa is a contemporary and stylish half door design which is made-to-measure for each individual bathroom. The shower features anti-bacterial protection, is suitable for the whole family, is functional and strong and is available with clear or frosted panels.
• Lunes Walk-In Shower: The Lunes walk-in shower offers a modern and minimalist finish. The shower features the Crystal Clear treatment system which prevents water droplets sticking to the surface of the glass, reducing scale deposits and bacteria build-up.
• Freedom Walk-In Shower: The Freedom walk-in shower is a modern and practical shower for the whole family. Key features include unique folding doors, split glass panels, folding and pivoting doors, fits any shower space, antibacterial finish and Crystal Clear treatment finish.

Bath-Knight offers a range of finishing touches to ensure that your bathroom looks perfect. Options include:

• Mermaid Wall Panels: Mermaid wall and shower panels provide a clean and attractive finish for shower areas. The panels are available in 14 colours, are easy to install and clean, do not require grouting and come with a 10 year watertight guarantee. The panels do not allow mould to build up and are fully antibacterial.
• Safeguard Care Electric Shower: Safeguard is a thermostatic electric shower for safe showering. Features include thermostatic temperature control, easy to use, adjustable timed shutdown, phased shutdown, large buttons, ergonomic rub clean shower head, raised tactile features, audible alert and 8.5 or 9.5kW power options.
• Bathroom Suites: Bath-Knight has developed a range of bathroom suites in designs to suit all tastes. There are four options to choose from including the Rio, Atlas and Venus which offer a contemporary feel and the New Hamilton which is a more traditional design. Each of the designs perfectly complements the bath and shower ranges and incorporates a sink, toilet, tiles, vanity unit, wall boards, taps and plugs.

Stairlifts

Bath-Knight also offers a range of stairlifts which enable travel up and down stairs. The stairlifts feature start and stop motion without jolts, sensors on the footplate, easy-to-use controls, emergency back-up power and a range of colour options.
