Brick Cladding
Gebrik
Aquarian Cladding Systems is the sole UK distributor of Gebrik cladding systems. Particularly suitable for large-scale new-build and refurbishment applications, Gebrik is manufactured in Belgium by Isosystems and is available in over 300 natural clay finishes in a vast range of sizes. The system is cast in polyurethane and the non load-bearing 1m sq lightweight stretcher or stack-bond panels, available in a variety of brick-slip sizes, can be screwed directly to masonry, timber or steel frame substrates. A range of factory manufactured components for external corners, doors, window surrounds or special features is also available. Gebrik has superior thermal capabilities and can reduce a building's U-value by up to 60%, this not only offers environmental benefits but also substantial savings on heating and cooling buildings.
Isybrik
Isybrik is an adaptable, thin and lightweight internal or external insulating brick cladding system. Suitable for achieving small areas of insulated non load-bearing brickwork, Isybrik is the ideal solution for matching adjacent brickwork. Isybrik consists of 1250mm long x 600mm high extruded polystyrene panels, fixings, cement based adhesive and brick slips which are ready for site assembly. The extruded polystyrene panels provide horizontal ribbing at the brick course level, ensuring accuracy of brick slip application and have overlapping edges to offer weather proofing to the substrate. Isybrik can be fixed to the majority of substrates such as masonry, timber and steel frame.
GRP Brick Panels
GRP brick panels are often specified for lightweight, bespoke decorative brickwork, gauged arches or corbel detailing. This cost effective solution comprises of bricks being removed from site, cut into slips and cast in glass reinforced plastic, forming 20mm thick panels, which are mechanically fixed to the substrate. Every GRP panel is designed and produced to suit individual requirements and can be installed without approved installation contractors.
Gecaro Terracotta Tile Cladding
Gecaro terracotta tile rainscreen cladding is also produced by Isosystems and provides an authentic insulated terracotta tile appearance, available in an array of natural clay tile colours and textures. Gecaro is a perfect alternative to conventional terracotta rainscreen systems, significantly reducing wall thickness, structural loadings, installation time and costs. The tiles are cast in polyurethane to form sheets of 1375mm long x 687mm high and can be fixed to substrates such as masonry, timber or steel frames. All comprehensive ranges of factory produced components are available for external corners, window surrounds, door openings and other abutments.
Bel-Stone Natural Stone Cladding
Bel-Stone is an insulating, durable, cost effective, non load-bearing stone cladding system. Designed by Isosystems as an alternative to traditional stone walling, the natural stone rainscreen cladding comprises of 680mm x 345mm natural stone tiles that have a +/- 8mm joint which form panels of 1375 x 688mm. Machined in different finishes, the tiles are cast in polyurethane to produce lightweight stack-bond panels. The cladding sheets measure approximately 1m sq and can be fixed mechanically to masonry, timber or steel frame substrates. A wide range of factory produced components is available to suit the majority of architectural designs. Bel-Stone cladding offers excellent thermal qualities and can reduce a building's U-value by 60%.
CGL Metal Rainscreen Cladding
CGL metal rainscreen cladding systems are fully drained and ventilated with 3-axis adjustability, offering perfect alignment of facade panels and joint lines. This system protects the structural backing wall against water, wind and solar damage. Aquarian also supply roll-formed, light gauge 1.0 or 1.2mm thick planks used to imitate a boarding or ribbon effect. Metal rainscreen systems are available in Aluminium FF2, Aluminium Composite Material, Post Painted / Adonised, Zinc, Copper and Stainless Steel. CGL has created a range of comprehensive and technologically advanced architectural solutions for ventilated facades using 2mm aluminium extrusions. There are five standard profiles in differing shapes and new profiles can be developed for individual project specifications.
CGL has developed an aluminium composite material or solid aluminium material as a more economical solution when a ventilation zone is not necessary. Generally supported by an extruded aluminium grid, this cost effective solution has a wide variety of zoning and adjustability and can be regarded as a sealed facade, as the system joints are pointed with mastic.
Installation
Aquarian has a network of trained and certified specialist cladding contractors to install the systems and continues to build on its national coverage of experts, capable of providing designs, pricing and installation expertise on projects, irrespective of size and complexity. The systems are generally simple to install, but as is the case with any system, it is vital that the manufacturer’s instructions are adhered to in order to ensure validity of certification, insurance and the life-span of a building.
