Advanced Chemical Specialties (ACS) Ltd both manufactures and supplies protective materials for a number of industries.
The company, based in Yeovil, Somerset, manufactures, develops and markets products from its own factory in Yeovil. With more than 25 years experience, the team of staff have full knowledge of the complete process.
The company has built a strong reputation with many of its clients which include the Ministry of Defence as well as large energy companies, facilities managers, major contractors, architects and builders who have remained loyal customers for numerous years.

Wood protection:
The Company’s main focus is the manufacture and promotion of its secondary wood preservative treatments specifically designed for timber. The company offers its Boracol range of products which offers heavyweight protection against dry rot, wet rot and wood worm.
Products in the range are also available for fire and weather protection for wood. The materials supplied are specialist preservatives designed to give the highest level of protection on wood.
Gels and preservative pastes are also available along with timber coating, water repellents, paints, as well as fire retardant and intumescent coatings.
Facade protection:
The range includes coatings and masonry paints to protect a number of materials including stone, brick and concrete.
The products available can also protect other building facades to assist in the prevention of graffiti attacks, mould growth, organic or bacterial growth, decay and erosion in stone and brickwork, penetrating damp and any other damage from the weather.
Products can penetrate damp using special water repellents and facades can also be protected by coating internally. Special surface biocides protect against biological and organic growth whilst mould growth can be removed using HSE approved anti-mould and fungicidal emulsion paints.
With 25 years experience in the industry, ACS can deal with both condensation and mould growth in buildings of all types from new builds for prevention and older properties to help prevent or to deal with any issues.
The company is also able to advise on the use and performance of its fire retardant coatings, masonry preservatives and water repellents. Advice is also available on the range of anti-vandal products, fire proofing paints and industrial coatings. All ACS manufactured products are water based and environmentally sound.
