Wetpour Safety Surfaces
Abacus wetpour safety surfaces are impact absorbing surfaces that offer protection to individuals using play equipment and are affordable and durable. The surface is created from recycled rubber granules and polyurethane binders and consists of two layers; a base layer of coarse black granules made from recycled black rubber and a coloured top layer made from much finer rubber granules. The surface can be laid onto existing hard surfaces or as part of a new construction, is extremely strong and will last for many years. Wetpour surfaces are easy to clean and maintain and are porous, so will drain water.
Wetpour surfaces can be used to create beautiful and stunning displays and can incorporate many designs and colours. Many educational and sports settings incorporate letters and numbers, logos, games, animals, paths and bright colours into the designs which will enhance and stimulate an individual’s experience within the play area. The colours can also be used to create zones for play and learning or mark out sports areas. There are 15 standard single colours available which can be mixed for more interesting designs. Abacus has the capability to create virtually any desired design ranging from simple flowing colours through to highly decorative and bright features.
The wetpour surface is installed by trained and highly skilled technicians and can be used on flat and undulating ground. The purpose designed machinery is taken to each site where the materials are mixed together on-site and poured directly into the desired location. The surface can be used one day after installation.
